It's Iron Bowl week. So many memorable games. So many great football players on both sides through the years. Heisman Trophy winners for both schools. Imagine a combined team of Alabama and Auburn greats. Which Auburn greats would make the All-Time Alabama-Auburn team? Bo Jackson? Cam Newton? Others? Presenting the All-Time Alabama-Auburn team:

I think you would have to include Willie Anderson somewhere. Maybe find a spot for Takeo too. Kicker would probably be Daniel Carlson. Frederickson as FB too.

John Hannah for sure.

Karlos Dansby was an absolute freak of an athlete.

We really going Amari Cooper and Devonta over Julio?

I don’t think there’s a wrong answer, but Julio’s NFL career would put him on the starter’s list for me.

These lists are always tough because are you doing career or peak. If peak it's Fairley and rocker at dt. Can't argue with much of the rest the talent that went through Tuscaloosa the last 15 years is crazy

I guess it depends on what's weighted more.

That being said, one has to think that with a more pass-oriented offense and highly touted QB, Julio would own a lot of records.

Bo Jackson for sure.
Tracy Rocker
Frank Gatski
Takeo Spikes

Biggest issue is that most of Auburn's all-time greats came from two positions - RB and LB. That makes it hard when you're having to pick just one.

I mean, in most places James Brooks is the best RB the school ever had (probably 80% or more). At Auburn he's at best the second greatest. Then throw in Joe Cribbs and William Andrews, all RBs.

Thankfully there's more room for LBs than RBs on a roster.

OP, in reality Bama and auburn aren't at the same level in the big picture. auburn rides the coact-tails of Bama to try and make themselves relevant. Why Alabama continues to play them at the end of the year and so auburn can get a national spotlight at a prime opportunity to ruin Bama's season is beyond me. Most the advantage goes to auburn in that situation.

If we're talking about performance in the Iron Bowl, absolutely. But then, I can't blame you for wanting to forget 2014.

Fairley for sure gets my vote. I know theres a lot of hate for him but he was a machine and anyone wouldve loved to have him on their team
