Have not followed the situation closely enough but apparently he trashed his own players in a hot mic?

Anybody have a clip of this?

it was on the pre game show prior to the game, right before they made their picks...He spoke to the sideline reporter concerning our "Blue light special" vs Ole Miss Defense Line being "Louis Vittan"....

it wasn't very bright to do publicly, however he changed the subject to speak on revenue sharing I believe.

This is the problem with NIL. Even Pittman is trashing is line.

These people sound like school unions now. "We just need more money to compete"

" It's the Louis Vuitton defense line of Ole Miss against the Walmart offensive line of Arkansas "

A lot of focus on our "blue light special o-line and rightfully so. But what kind of Def backfield do we have, Family Dollar? They are just as, if not more, responsible for yesterday's loss. We still scored 31 points with our crappy o-line. Our D let them score 63 points! The same receiver torched them for like 35 of those points. Crazy.

Those dumb f**k announcers don't even know that it was K Mart that had the 'blue light specials', not Walmart.

But yes, I am certain that OM spent way more on their DLine than we could on out OLine.
Hell, they probably paid more just for Nolen than we did for our OLine.

Like it or not, Pittmam's statement carries a lot of truth. We can't compete moneywise with most of the SEC, and unfortunately, 90% of your success is going to be directly correlated to how much money you can throw around.

He threw his team under the bus before the game as a qualifier. Plain and simple, crossed the line and he and HY should both be fired for this. All it really translates to is “our AD staff and football staff don’t know how to do our jobs here at Arkansas and Ole Myth did better.”. He’s a baby back bitch for doing that. Most of us would be fired if we said that about our companies/organizations in comparison to competitors on national tv.

Damn that’s a bit excessive.

HY just made the best hire in school history. His seat is safe for 5+ years

I don’t anymore. We’ll see about Cal. He’s literally backing Pittman repping Arkansas in a 100% negative and unsellable light. We went 3-9, 9-4, 6-6, 4-8, and are barely going to squeak a bowl if we’re lucky this year and lost two very winnable games and there are no ramifications? What do you do for work? Would you be allowed to suck like that and stay on(they don’t do demotions or departmental moves usually for people who perform like that in sports).

The problem is I don’t think they view it that way and expect the fans to give regardless because of “love for the Hogs” and think we’re not winning because fans aren’t giving like they are at Ole Miss. It’s an endless cycle of chicken/egg. They want us to give to have better players and win but we want them to win first so we can give.

Well, I can tell you that on the wealthy wealthy circles, the money is there. They aren’t donating to Pittman… I’m not BSing. Cal is being given a long leash because(and yes, I said let’s wait and see) he is a proven winner, the Tyson’s and other generous families have backed up the Brinks truck, etc. Most are willing to do this with football but not with poor staff and poor planning and execution on the NIL front.

I think we all know the point he was trying to make - that our line would be going up against some of the best players money can purchase by comparison. He just worded it in not the best way

You can say a lot about Pittman's coaching, but he is not the type to bash his own players publicly

Arkansas could spend money like the Aggies and go 7-6.

We haven’t lost this year bc of a talent gap. We’ve lost bc we are poorly prepared and make countless self inflicted mistakes. And our play calling sucks.

Do you think attacking/bashing/not supporting your coach publicly attracts other good coaching candidates?

Those Ole Miss fans wouldn't have been donating if they didn't think they were going to lose Kiffin. His potential/success motivated them to donate so that he would stay. Ole Miss wouldn't have had donations like this if they were performing like us or still had Matt Luke there.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
OM Dline > Ark OLine, OM OLine > Ark DLine.
And that my friend, is largely where games are won and lost.
Play calls and everything else look a lot better when you have the advantage on the lines.

Does an AD really get the credit for a John Tyson hire?
