Is beating Pitt right now. 28-3 with 2m left in the first half.
Looks good. Still hungry, hasn’t been fed yet. I’m sure we can fix that and make him fat and sassy and useless.

I’d take him in a heartbeat, and I hate the shite out of Gus and the whole Springdale cult.

At this point, yes.

Arkansas' boosters say why take the young calf when you can have the old bull. Gus needs a golden parachute.

Hiring 60 year old washed Gus off a bad season instead of 41 year old up and coming Lashlee would be the most Arkansas thing ever.

You can't really judge a coach based on their time at SMU - Jerriah Jones

There’s probably a less than zero percent chance that Lashlee would take this job. There’s no reason for him to take a chance on ruining his career with that risk. SMU can pay as much or more than us and he can ride this success to a higher profile job.

Every coach/athlete takes money in hand vs theoretical money.

He's too young for one bad stop to ruin his career so I don't think that would be why he wouldn't take it.

I would be absolutely shocked if Lashlee left SMU for Arkansas. I’ve said it here before, but it is very unlikely to ever happen. Does that mean the chance is 0%? No…but again, I’d be very surprised.
His setup at SMU is much better than Arkansas. Whether any of you want to admit it or not, it is. Coming to Arkansas is coming into a much worse situation.
He has the backing of the largest booster family at SMU who by themselves, pay for football and basketball. He is in a P4 league and is currently heading toward an ACC title in their first year in the league. It would be career suicide for Lashlee, and he knows it.

He's probably at Florida next year, or Auburn/OU the following year when Freeze and Vegetables are fired. OU would be a great fit for him. Outside of the IU coach he'll be the hottest name on the market.
No need to hype up SMU though, no one is staying there to coach in front of 25K fans in an absolute dump of a stadium in the awful ACC. He's gone in a flash at the first decent big school offer.
Coaches don't care about this, especially ones looking at their first big school offer.

Hype? I’m not hyping them…I’m telling you he has the keys to run the program as he sees fit and he has the backing of a family that has endless pockets for players. A family of which, has ties to Arkansas.
Their stadium may be smaller, but it’s far from a dump.

Of course they do…Arkansas football is currently an absolute mess. There aren’t any big donors currently involved like at SMU. The donors that are involved want their way or they take their ball and go home. Until HY gets out of the way and lets the money play the game they want to play, the football program will continue on its path. And I’m talking about…if I give HY $100k, don’t be an arse hole and sneak some of that money to the damn softball program. Or the soccer program. There’s always a sneaky move by HY. Nobody trusts him.
Anything with basketball would go through Muss. Just as now it goes through Cal. Pittman is a HY guy, who believes he is safe because HY likes him. He isn’t hands on and thinks the money should just come in when HY barks. That’s not the case and will not be the case. If Pittman is retained after this season by HY, there will be no donor backing for football and expect a mass exodus of players and also expect no new money in. As for myself and our family, we are done with football.
Regarding SMU again…Lashlee may eventually leave…but in this age of football, coaches aren’t just leaving a good all around situation to jump into a mess at an Arkansas, an Auburn, or a Florida. In those places you have infighting amongst boosters, AD’s, etc. At SMU, there’s one guy in charge. This family has all the power. You’ll see a change in the of SMU President soon and it’s because that family is forcing Turner out.

We need to get his wife to pitch in for the Hogs. She's from south Arkansas and he has his "camp" here. One booster like him and the Hogs would be set, but he also mobilizes other money at SMU.

She has no skin in the game, other than her kids get the portion of Arkansas land her family owned prior to their marriage.
I don’t even think her kids live in the Magnolia area any longer.

I get so tired of hearing HY brag about women's sports success.
Nobody gives a flying frick UNLESS your football team is decent as well.

I'd rather take my chances in the ACC vs the SEC. Especially an SEC football program like ours. Also, SMU boosters are rich as shite and will play the NIL game.
Our admin doesn't have the attitude of a win at all costs SEC program. If you want to win in the SEC, you better be ready to get down and roll in the dirt.

Of course they are those are dream jobs. No coach is scared of a previous regimes bad situation. Just not how coaches think.
