I don’t even love Kamala, but the cognitive dissonance of people acting like she’s the incoherent candidate is wild

He left his job as AD to become whatever that entails though. The teams like Georgia Southern might close up shop soon.

Kamala is a moron, and she will lose in a landslide. But that is besides the point

This hire is huge. He was in the running for AD before we got Cohen

I've yet to see anything she says be "coherent". Granted, I don't go looking for it, but everything I've ever seen come out of her mouth is ridiculous.

Executive Deputy AD

In my experience in work in the fedgov (as a contractor, not a direct employee) deputies typically oversee staffing, budget, and day to day operations.

Since it says he will focus on the transition to the revenue sharing era, my guess he is a figures and accounting type. Will make sure budgets are set, folks get paid, etc.

Supposedly, he’s a really good fundraiser. That’s good, because Yella and myself are tired of just us 2 pulling all the weight for you poors.

This rev-sharing is going to be huge!

I grew up in a middle class family and neighborhood. There were no Exec. Deputy ADs. People cared more about their lawn than an AD. What we have to do as a college university is be who we can be, unburdened by what ADs have been.

Foreigner, can’t vote and not taking any sides. Trump would win this in a landslide if he was a bit more thick skinned, less rambly and had better control over his messaging and PR but it’s been a disaster over and over. Kamala who replaced a walking shell of a human on the ballot says a lot but most of it is empty fluff and veiled insults at Trump. I don’t believe the polls at all that it’s 50-50, one of them is going to win this by getting 305-310 electoral votes.

What have we become? We’ve become such a damaged fan base some of us think Kamala is a good leader. Oof.

Trump's 3 hours with Rogan broke you, didn't it? >30 million views despite YouTube trying to bury it, as confirmed by Rogan today.

She can't go off script for 30 seconds without a word salad.

I wonder if the revenue sharing will truly be fair when its all said and done. If so Title 9 for womens sports would go away.

Think about it, currently the university makes 10 bucks off mens sports and then spends a good portion on women's sports that lose money.

If the collective of men athletes say we want half and the university says thats half of the remaining 5 bucks after we fund women's sports. Wouldnt the men have the legal right to say no I want 50% of the 10. The universities could then argue to the courts, if you approve that then women are allowed the same, or zero dollars unless they can generate revenue on their own.

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

my dos centavos ....The tv networks are hard- driving towards CFB "superconference" arrangements that would secure 40 teams into a long term arrangement that would include a revenue-sharing arrangement, not unlike what SEC membership provides for today.

Programs like Auburn want to be included in that arrangement for obvious reasons. A guy like Benko is an effort to strengthen the University's position in understanding and shaping that arrangement.

quote:

Where will it end?

Right here, says Sports Illustrated. We brought this exercise in greed to its logical conclusion: a 40-school alliance, split into two 20-team megaconferences that are fully weaponized versions of the Big Ten and SEC and are aligned with the highest broadcast bidders. (Fittingly, no single person is in charge—there will be a pair of competing commissioners.)

Auburn is great at hiring/paying people unnecessarily.
