Gonna be interesting to see how effective teams are at adjusting to Marcel Reed.

Will he continue to succeed once teams adjust? LSU didn't/couldn't adjust and wound up looking like a deer in the headlights. I don't see future teams being caught that flat-footed. Gonna be interesting.

LSU's d-line is average at best with a very thin linebacker group and below average secondary. Teams with depth will stop him.

They will be easy to stop now that teams can prepare for him. Still pissed we lost. I equate it to Tua coming in for Hurts in the NC against UGA. Beat em so bad they started the game over.

A&M didn’t do anything exotic in their play calling with Marcel. It was zone read all night, but he did a masterful job of riding the handoff and knowing when to pull it and when to give it away.
The reason that was successful was because of Leveon Moss. Moss has been incredible this season for us. He is a legitimate threat for 100+ yds/g and is a physical back. Having that opens things up a lot for Reed.
Excited to see how USC defends them.

He got the win vs Arkansas but they did fine vs him.

Marcel Reed started vs Florida and Arkansas. It’s not like there is t already footage.
LSU just either didn’t prep for him or have any answer.

That's EXACTLY what it reminded me of....sadly.

On that last TD he was so late in pulling the ball I was amazed he didn't lose the ball. The RB was literally being tackled when he pulled it. It was masterful. Just don't know how many times out of 10 he can get away with that without a fumble.

It will defintely be interesting to see what a month does for a freshman QB.
Klien's offense scheme opens up a lot with a very mobile QB. Weigman is not as mobile so, again, it will be interesting to see.

He didn’t do much in the run game against the Hogs.
Blake Baker look baffled in the 2nd half. Cajun Brian obviously didn’t prepare his team for Reed coming in.

Surprise advantage is gone. Everyone will be prepared for a running QB He won’t do as well.

Everyone is going to prepare for Reed. Expect Connor to throw for 350

A&M would have had the same performance Saturday night with any competent quarterback. A&M's defense won the game. Marcel Reed played fine, as he has done in multiple games this year, but the main "spark" he provided was keeping the Notre Dame/LSU game version of the Conner Weigman offense off the field. The conference is littered with quarterbacks who could have come in and won the game with the positions the A&M defense put him in.

Greg Penn has confirmed this. I think BK takes a lot of undue heat on this board but he deserves 100% of the heat for that.
It completely changed the game.

LSU defense gave up 6 rushing TD's in Tuscaloosa last year. Milroe had 4 of them. Apparently their 2024 defense still can't handle a good ground game with an athletic QB.. at all.

We just didnt prepare fat all for him.
We had Weigman completely shut down and just never prepared for a back up scenario

Dude looked like he would be a Kirby Smart defense's kryptonite. Mobile QBs give UGA fits or have seemed to do so in the past. If UGA meets ATM could be problematic for the Dawgs.

No.
Hard to shift gears when you’re absolutely dominating a team and then they swap approaches. Short fields didn’t help either.

Was indeed reminiscent other than the stakes being much lower....

It's definitely been the Achilles heel.
Hopefully, Milroe throws 40 times.
