Early kickoff is rarely good in Jordan Hare. Facing a ball control offense that churns out first downs with a winner at QB is going to wear down our defense. 24 - 17 Vandy

Those knee injuries feel a lot worse the days after. I’m thinking Pavia is no where near what he’s been against us.

Hunter gets rolling. Coleman catches a deep ball.

We lose again.

(FYI: these were my exact words last week and we won. I am keeping the Auburn superstation gods happy)

24-20 Vandy.

Against Texas: Their rush defense was really good and held Texas to ~100 yards rushing. Pass defense was not good though. The defense did have 4 sacks and 9 TFLs and OL allowed 0 sacks and only 2 TFLs.

So it’s going to be a bad matchup unless Thorne plays well with the receivers.

Vanderbilt is giving up 4.14 YPC vs FBS competition… 11th best in the conference. For comparison auburn is giving up 3.54 YPC… 8rh best in league.

If you call that almost even, the matchup is our QB vs their pass rushers and vice versa. Thorne can absolutely not shite the bed. If we do pull out the win, it will be narrow.

Statistically auburn has been better through 8 games, with the exception of turnover margin and third down efficiency…auburn gains more per play and allows fewer yards per play. They have two common opponents… @ mizzou and @ UK… outcomes were very similar.
