I've never seen so many SEC teams on the same level.

LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vandy, South Carolina, Kentucky, A&M are all on the same level in my mind. UGA this season might be on this level as well or a slight step above. Any of these teams can beat one another on any given Saturday.

The portal has made more rosters more even and given good coaches who know what style they play and have good personnel people a real advantage in bringing in experienced, older players who know how to run what they want from day 1. Especially combined with the new clock rules that have shortened the games by a couple of possessions, which inherently gives less talented teams a much better opportunity to shrink games and steal wins.

On the flip side, it destroys the depth that recruiting used to provide to big programs by hollowing out their backups while also make it hard for them to fill those spots with quality, because quality doesn't want to transfer somewhere to be a backup. This seems to appear most often on the lines of scrimmage. You can't stockpile 2 deeps there anymore.

It's made for some fun football.

I think some of it is the portal and so many players transferring all over, teams lack cohesion.

It helps even the field for less talented teams

The stats posted by each team suggest you are wrong.

Texas and Tennessee on paper are by far the two best teams.

And Nico starts clicking, it won't even be a contest.

The SEC is typically won by teams with a dominant defense and running game. QB just needs to he game manager level good if you have those other ingredients.

I know you don't want to hear it but that's kinda how the Big 12 was.

1. Oklahoma

2. Everybody Else

3. Kansas

He's a freshman QB doing freshman things.

He didn't get worse...his tackles started playing worse because competition increased and Heard is out of if shape.

Nico is close to putting it together. He looked very smooth first drive against Florida until the ball got loose.

His problems are all mental and easily fixable. Soon enough, the game will slow down for him more and he'll catch it. Still just a freshman that just had three road battles in hostile environments. You are the delusional one.

Your all star QB Jayden Daniels looked mediocre half of his collegiate career. It's called developing a young quarterback. He will learn from his mistakes and improve. He's still having to think to much which is killing his rhythm. The game will slow down for him mentally at some point though.

Uh nobody looks better on paper than A&M.

Even with Jimbo leaving and the transfers, we are still #7 in composite talent. And the transfers we brought in like Scourton are killing it.

This is why nobody takes tenn fans seriously.

With all the stupid shite yall post, the volunteers should be playing in the NFL this year and winning the super bowl.

Tenner is a 3 loss team at best. The qb is too young. You can't be by far the best anything when florida takes you to ot

Is that why you lost to a team that couldn't handle NIU and struggled with Bowling Green?

The next two weeks will separate the men from the women.

(Unless you are Utrans)

The schedule is going to be insane.

This is perhaps the hardest to fix.
