Kiffin is right.
LSU is still rebuilding. Has a first year starting QB. No personnel in the secondary. And no running game.
And he still lost. Because he’s a loser at a bad program. For all of the clip board flinging, twitter antics, and smug remarks, he’s won exactly zero big games in his time as a head coach.

Pretty stupid statement considering:
1. Your head coach’s approach is to build through the high school ranks, not assemble an entire team, as is Kelly’s.
2. Kelly pulled nearly the entire secondary at LSU through the portal last year and it was the worst defense in LSU history.
3. Kiffin and Ole Miss were hyped as a legit title contender because of the prospects he brought in through the portal. They are all but statistically eliminated from anything but the Gator bowl.
4.FSU rebuilt extensively through the portal this year and is the worst team in the ACC.
The portal can help fill in a gap or two. Maybe even bring in the missing piece to elevate a team. But acting like it’s a magic wand to take a program from 10-11 with 39 scholarship players to a title contender is simply not true.

Not to defend Kiffin but I do think “team” vs “program” is the important distinction here.
This OM team was supposed to beat this LSU team
On the flip side, OM will never be a “program” of LSU’s caliber.

He meant they can’t lose to teams they’re supposed to beat (on paper) if they want to achieve their goals. But it’s in Kiffin’s DNA to phrase things like an a-hole.
