That is the most asinine thing I've ever heard of. I couldn't care less what he wears on the sideline. How does it look any different than what any other coach wears? Give the man a couple of seasons. Probably 3 or 4 to see what he can do....... We all knew he wasn't Saban. I think he is a good coach but we will have to see how he handles the spotlight moving forward.....

Buttoned down shirt and tie, can be short sleeves or not, optional ball cap.

Deboer looks like a slob goober on the sideline.

He looks like crap on the sidelines. Heupel could choose some better attire as well imo.

He needs to dress like he isn’t on vacation. Or else the players will follow his lead and check out too. Good leaders lead by example.

Showing up at a game dressed like you just don’t care sets a very poor tone and example for the team.

Did Alabama lose because Deboer wore a T-shirt on Saturday? No. They lost because of the lackadaisical attitude that led him to wear a t-shirt. It showed on the field. One thing that successful people do is pay attention to details. Like wearing a damn shirt with a collar when you are going to be on national television for 4 hours. You can’t control everything that happens on the field. But it is easy to control what you wear on the sidelines. Saturday was embarrassing enough without him dressing like a hobo.

Hopefully Saturday was a learning experience for Deboer.

Wommack's costume was worse, some kind of vest thing over a tshirt? With a belt?

Haven't seen anything like it since that smock thing that Matt Rhule used to wear at Baylor.

Would this be an issue if he had beaten Vandy badly? No.

Did he still kind of look like a slob on the sidelines? Yes.

Weird that none of his staff (that I could see) dressed that way. Only him. The leader.

Collared shirt and ballcap would be fine.

The craziest part about all this is the fact fans and media would have absolutely crucified him if he came out in a suit emulating Saban.

Gumps just need a few years of experiencing reality like the rest of us, then maybe they'll settle down.

I agree.

Lane kind of wears a long sleeved T, which is still too casual, but the short sleeved T looks like you're coaching elementary school soccer games.

He gets free clothes from Nike. Not hard to put a collared polo on. I do realize some NFL coaches don’t dress well either.

Like 80% of the coaches in the league wear khaki's, polo, visor.
