On Friday night, Theo Wease Jr. posted a picture of a Texas A&M blanket that greeted him in his hotel room. Accompanying the blanket was a note that was addressed from Aggies cornerback Mike "The Blanket" Lee. It read, "Get used to the blanket... it will be real tomorrow."
Wease wore the blanket to Kyle Field and walked around with it on during warmups.

Cut to the game and surprise, surprise all during the broadcast ESPN/ABC could not shut the hell up about a fake made up rivalry between Lee and Wease as if it's at all believable Lee (1) decided to call out Wease personally (2) had a custom greeting card made using a picture of him warming up pregame at Cowboys Stadium last week (3) picked a font that used cursive letters to make it classy (4) went to a store to buy an A&M branded blanket (5) did the detective work to find out which hotel Missouri was staying at (6) also uncovered which room Wease would stay in (7) broke into the room right before Missouri arrived to plant the blanket (8) and did all of this in what little free time he had during a game week.

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko denied involvement and didn't mince words when asked about the situation. He believes Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz did it to motivate his top pass catcher.
“My suggestion would be you guys go ask Eli where that came from,” Elko said in his postgame press conference. “Because I have a strong feeling that that came from the other side and had nothing to do with Texas A&M, Will Lee, or anybody over here. So, you should point that one on the other side.”

I thought Drink was a bitch before reading this, but goddamn.

I honestly think this A&M week was the low point of Drink's career and says a lot about him as a coach and Missouri as a team. Wease going along with it? C'mon. Cook saying practice is louder? Unbelievable.

Drink is basically your average missouri poster only you can see and hear him on tv/social media

Our high school coach used to do similar things. Maybe that’s why mizzou played like a high school team vs the Aggies.

Who knows where it came from even if it was all Mizzou. That game is over and it is time to look forward. I did note that Drinkwitz really gave no compliment to the Aggies other than Mizzou got their arse kicked. Obviously he is a competitor.

Seriously...wtf possessed him to say that?!

I remember seeing that on the broadcast and thought it was incredibly lame.

Mizzou fans are proud of that nerd

No wonder Baker and Peoples wanted out of there.
That's high school BS.

Drinkwitz is absolutely weird enough to pull that shite

Cook saying practice is louder?
Cook said PA speakers located right behind him were louder. Why is a true statement so offensive?

Usually it’s A&M doing cringe stuff like this. Oh how the turn tables have turned

Because he was wrong?
But he wasn't. that isn't even a fair fight. Standing right in front of high powered, high efficient speakers is always going to blow away crowd noise capabilities.

You've clearly never been on the turf at Kyle Field during a game where the opposing team specifically challenged the Aggies fanbase to be as loud as possible...
He could have said, "We practice with ultra loud speakers."
He didn't.
He said, "Practice is actually louder."
That's all I'm saying. It's about his attitude.

I, and most Mizzou fans, agree with you.

To make a comment like that then come out and get a delay of game and several false starts in your first couple of series deserves ridicule.
