Another week, another eye-popping play, and performance. Dude is on pace for 1,400-1,500 yards, and 14-15 TDs this season. Just total domination as a true freshman. I don't think I have ever seen anything like him. A true freak.

And for all of the talk of NIL making players less focused, entitled, and weaker-this dude is probably making more NIL money than anyone, and could have OD'd on rat poison for all the exposure he got after the Georgia game. Yet he showed up Saturday focused, ready to play, and balled out again.

I know its hard to look at how the game went and feel good about anything, but since there is so much doom and gloom, I am making a positive thread.

He's part of the problem with this team! He's too explosive. We're scoring too quickly on offense because guys like him keep trying to score TDs instead of just taking 4-6 yard gains to keep the chains moving.

You have to be 3 years removed from high school to go to the nfl right? He would be 20? I just feel like there is no way he stays 3 years. 3 years would be a blessing

I was 100% convinced he stepped out and it was being called back. Hell, after the first few replays I still didn't believe he stayed in bounds.

Through 5 games in his freshman season he is the most natural football player I've ever watched. It's like the kid was programmed to play this sport.

"spatial awareness" is a term that comes up a lot in high level soccer, it's what separates the best of the best. Ryan has it in spades to go along with his athletic ability.

Jeudy had that ability to an extent as well, but this kid is just different. He gets 100% of possible production out of every touch.

to be 3 years removed, he'd still have to play 3 years right? If he enrolled May 28th, 2024, then by the time 3 years would be up, the 2026 draft would have already passed? Or can they make special exceptions?

Randy Moss is the only other player I've ever watched that makes it look so simple, so easy, so smooth. RW makes the other players look like they've never played football before.

RW is better than RM IMHO so I think the phrase, "he was Mossed" is going to be replaced soon by "he got Hollywooded/Ryan'ed/RW'ed".

Alabama better be prepared to pay some serious NIL money to him, otherwise he will be heading to the state of Texas.

His nonchalant effort on a ball in the 1st qtr was unacceptable. The play would have made a 1st down but instead the team had to punt deep on our side of the field.

I have a bad feeling that Ryan Williams will be playing for someone else next year. If we aren’t a playoff team and someone like Ohio State or Texas comes along and offers him a ton of money and whatever else, I think it will be hard to keep him here.

I'm not sure some fans still are quite aligned with the "new college athletics" world we find ourselves in. You are right, if the wheels come off even halfway in 2024, you're going to see RW and a bunch of other guys bail for "greener pastures".

A whole lot more than a missed playoff opportunity is at stake over the next month or so.

idk, he's getting plenty of money already, he seems to be loving being a student at Bama, he is close enough to home where he can easily visit, and he is in a high powered offense that made him the focal point pretty much immediately. Yeah, things can happen, but I think it is way too early to be considering that.

If Ryan Williams leaves that may be the nail in the coffin for me.

It surprises me he isn't mentioned more often as a Heisman dark horse and the fact that he would be the youngest by almost 2 years (Lamar Jackson won at 19y, 337d old).

I'm a sunshine pumper, but can you imagine Bama winning the NC this year and RW2 winning the Heisman? Hey, miracles happen every second of every day.
