I'm still riding with you guys.

When everything is going good they (fair weather
fans) PRAISE & LOVE you but just as soon as things go wrong they (fair weather fans) HATE you/never believed in you from the jump.

Coach Saban had games where he was out coached. He had games where his DEFENSE couldn't get stops. He had games where Bama lost to teams who they were better than by a wide margin. #Nobody'sPerfectPeople

Coach DeBoer is a winner so we ain't going anywhere no time soon. He will get everyone on the same page his way.

Anybody that knows Kane Wommack...know that he will get this defense playing better even if it takes guys being benched or moving guys around.

I see people bringing up the second half of the Georgia game concerning the defense but what they will not mention is the simple fact we dropped TWO more interceptions in that half!

We had guys in the backfield against Vandy but they FAILED to tackle guys yesterday. We had guys who EYES were in the wrong places so it led to us being gashed for big plays or touchdowns.

That's it PEOPLE!

I've seen players CONFUSED under Nick Saban's defense the past few years. Kane Wommack's defense is simple but aggressive. Our linebackers aren't being aggressive. Justin Jefferson has been sorely missed these past few games. Devonta Smith has been missed. Latham & LT Overton didn't look good yesterday but Pierre, Russaw, and Robinson did! Malachi Moore is a phenomenal player but to me I think he's much better closer to the line of scrimmage and by the way we all had meltdown moments like he did yesterday. It's not okay to act like that but we've been there before.

This game will be a blessing in disguise. Just watch!!

We will bounce back in a major way.

We have arguably the best roster in football, top 3 at worst

Getting skull dragged by Vandy is inexcusable on any level. Get this shite outta here

the second half of the Georgia game

I'll say it again. Offense didn't help the D in the uga game.

With 13:45 to go in the 4th up 33-15, defense forced a fumble on the plus side of the field. Offense went 3 and out and punted.

DeBoer is the right guy. Hopefully he has thick skin. Nothing heals the wounds of losing like winning.

This team is going into Red Stick 7-1. Book it.

Name the first or second round draft picks in the 2025 draft on this team.
DeBoer had to bring a fricking center with him.
Transfers and Freshmen all over the field on D.
It's pretty much a consensus on here that BAMA's LBers are terrible.

I'm starting to think some of you aren't even fans, but trolls.

They’re talented player but the scheme is terrible and yesterday was a sign that they don’t like playing in it. I also think that we’ve lost our toughness on defense. The 2016 defense would have broken Pavia in half yesterday.

Pavia isn’t Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence was the number one pick in the draft. Pavia probably won’t get drafted at all.

The 2024 defense isn't the 2016 defense either. That's the point.

I'm no sunshine pumper but I think we will learn more about this new regime this upcoming Saturday than from yesterday.

What are the adjustments to protect the defense with the offense? What are one or two things that can be improved on defense this week that helps them get off the field 3rd down just a few times more?

I don't suspect that we are going to be a great defense this year but one "easy" thing to clean up are the penalties. Stop panic grabbing and use good discipline on closing out rushes on the QB. In no uncertain terms: I think Alabama wins last week if they just didn't have the penalties on 3rd or 4th down.

On offense, Alabama has got to start getting consistency out of their interior OL - which was supposedly a strength - so they move bodies and get these tailbacks involved in the offense as more than a counter to Milroe runs. Furthermore, these backs need to read the blocks better...particularly Haynes who seems very timid in the backfield the last few weeks and making bad decisions for when to kick it out over C or D gap.

I don't think "boom or bust" was our problem against Vandy but it would be a disastrous trend for our offense to have in a game because this defense ain't going to get many stops. Cleaning up the offense execution a bit and refactoring the approach to control possession a bit more is more achievable in my opinion. They're a good to great offense but need to become a consistently great offense.

He played one hell of a game.

Maybe 9 out of 10 we'd win?

I didn't see any quit in either team.

I've seen let downs after big games too many times to know it shows on defense more than anywhere.

Last years defense would have killed Pavia with the DB's we had and the missiles we had at OLB.

The way Vandy crushed Bama by 5 points makes me wonder why Kirby didn’t fire Glenn Schumann at halftime of the Bama game last week. The score was 30-7 and Bama ended crushing Georgia by 7.
What an utter embarrassment for their D Coordinator.

Oh wait, Schumann was the guy a lot of people wanted to succeed Saban.

$hit happens, and I could see it happening again this year in the new area of mercenary football we are in. Pepto Bismol covers nausea, heart burn indigestion, upset stomach (and) diii uh reee uh for those who think CFB hasn’t changed forever.

Again people fail to mention how we DROPPED TWO interceptions in the second half versus Georgia.
