From the media and their own fan base, IMO. We ran stuff on offense and defense we didn’t show in the first 3 games.

I've heard and read things like “both staffs had two weeks to prepare.” So? We had a pretty good idea what Kirby, Schumann, and Bobo would want to do. They had very little idea what we would do, and they made halftime adjustments and came all the way back to take the lead. They’re not getting enough credit.

Too many people are acting like we shite the bed when in reality they should be praising UGA for fighting back.

It's interesting in our last three meetings, they have absolutely dominated the fourth quarter.

They did not dominate the 4th quarter in Atlanta last year. We exchanged punts, then we exchanged TDs, then they scored a TD to cut it to 3, then we ran it down their throats until time ran out.

Alabama is still the gold standard.

Alabama is still the team that is supposed to win.

Georgia under Kirby is 1-6 Vs Bama

Georgia never took the throne from Bama. They are no different than Clemson during their little run, or Ohio State during their little run, these teams are having success inside the larger Bama era that is still taking place.

Georgia can eat shite.

Too many of you want to dismiss the human element of the game. It's "human nature" to let up a little mentally as a player with a big lead. And also as a coach to let the foot off the gas and play to the defense.

We all saw the coaches' hesitance to allow JM to throw into the EZ with a short field. This gives us an insight into their overall trust level of the QB to read defenses and make the proper quick decisions when the field is compressed. This is simply smart coaching.

Fans also overlook that there is another highly-paid and proven coaching staff on the opposite sideline, with equally highly-paid and motivated players at their disposal. And I would bet that Georgia's starters have more overall experience than ours too. These things matter.

Was it a perfect game by the players and coaches? No. Was it a perffect game by Georgia's players and coaches? No. And you will NEVER see that if that's what you are waiting for. These games between elite teams are ALWAYS back-and-forth affairs. It's the team with more grit and will that usually prevails.

If we had been up 21-7 at the half we probably win by 14+ points.

Well, if they were so good at half time adjustments why didn't they adjust to stopping Hollywood?

They should've adjusted to scoring more points than us at the end of the game. Come on, guys, this is Adjustments 101.

As to the topic, frick Kirby and UGA.

If the teams meet again do you think Deboer would be able to draw up a brand new scheme again? Not trolling genuinely curious.

I would think he’d use the same kinda motion and plays but switch a lot of pre snap looks to go into different plays than the first game. DeBoer has said he has over a thousand plays to fit different players.

We won’t go ground and pound a lot but I hope this changes as the game dictates. The sweeps, motions, tight end, deep ball, qb runs they’ll be there but I think the plays will expand throughout the year.

To an extent, absolutely. I think DeBoer is an offensive genius and has the versatility to scheme not only for a variety of defenses, but also for a variety of weapons on his side of the ball. He’s never had weapons like these before.

While Kirby and Bobo deserve a lot of credit for in game adjustments and coaching their team back into this game, it is also their predictability that has allowed us to scheme for UGA successfully virtually every time of late. They’re good at what they know, but I’m not sure they have the versatility, particularly on offense.

If there is a rematch (or two) down the road, the outcome will likely be determined more by the relative health of either team rather than any adjustments and changes made in the approach to the game.

The ONLY time Kirby has beaten Alabama is when we didn’t have our top two WRs and CBs playing in the game against them.
