Don't ever go vanilla against elite teams!!!

Honestly, the fact that we could not stop them on 4th down played aa huge role in our offense being out of sync the 2nd half.

Quite a few of those conversions were ghost penalties called by the refs.

Didn’t go vanilla at all.
That’s Kirby and Schuman over there making adjustments.

Honestly, our offense was out of sync because of the play calling. Basically, they shut it down until needed.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but this was probably the best outcome. If we had blown them out in the second half as well, the rat poison would have been out of control. This outcome gave us the W but also taught the team a valuable lesson.

Exactly UGA needs credit here.
Their halftime adjustments were all time elite.
Sometimes you have to give credit to the opponent.

That's exactly 180° the wrong conclusion to draw from this game. We should have been pounding the rock with the RBs all second half while mixing in the short passing game.
Hero ball is what almost cost us.

Yeah that's pretty concerning going forward. To not get one is pretty bad

We hiked the ball with 20 seconds left, we called 3 trick plays that weren't necessary and none of em worked. Deboer needs to realize you don't have to do that with the talent level here. A lot of learning to be done tonight

I'm not totally buying that, the problem was just the opposite, besides the few PI calls they got, compared to the one that probably cost us 3 points.
I don't think we went vanilla enough run the damned ball and snap it with 2-3 seconds left, not 20-25 seconds as I saw at least 10 times or 15-20 some other times. 10 plays like that is four to five minutes, 15 plays is maybe 6-7 minutes. I just do not understand why modern coaches do not understand clock management. We should mix in passing, but the main thing is run the clock.
We can't fault the defense, the other team went on fourth down probably 10 times, its hard to stop a team planning of four downs, plus a few PIs that went there way kept drives alive. Milroe was great tonight, but some how hes just not that old school type leader who is savvy enough to understand the cock is our friend, let it run. He was much better on the mid range passing tonight, hes growing. I think he will be a pretty good NFL guy, just QUIT DRIVING ME CRAZY, run the clock. You guys remember Bear using 13 minutes for 90 yard drive? LOL
The defense got tired late. That's why we need to run the clock, protect the defense. The truth is that game probably just about locks us into a playoff birth. Big Win coach DeBoer

We stopped blitzing in the second half, we certainly did on defense

I agree.
I mean, it is rare for a team to make that many 4th downs. They were 5/5 and had another made on a penalty. Crazy.
Bama had poor calls go against them, including a pass interference that should have been called to close out the 1st half (points there).
AND, we had a pass intercepted in the Red Zone that veered off our TE’s hands.
And, for some reason, our RBs, both of them, came up either short on a 4th down (Jam) or didn’t make a crucial 3rd down (Haynes). Guys, put your head down and get the yardage!

When we threw the deep ball we connected. We stopped throwing the deep ball. Prove me otherwise with stats and I'll happily concede the point.

Did not recognize that we needed to run counters off the outside run flows soon enough. I'm surprised we didn't come into the 2nd half with a plan to attack that adjustment UGA was beginning to make towards the end of the 1st half.

You’d argue with a statue.
I made a comment that I believe and really don’t have to prove shite to you.
Enjoy the win and keep analyzing spunky.

First half play calling at end of half hot the offense out of rhythm. Double revers we pass was a stupid play call and killed the rhythm. Should have been up 35-7. Defense bailed you out with a safety to get two pts but offense was never the same after.
