Bama hired a coach whose most notable accomplishments are beating up on lightweights like Cal and USC.

Yikes.

He made the national title game in the playoff era.

The number of coaches who have done so: 10
One of which is the one who retired from Alabama.

I would think THAT would be his most notable achievement.

That along with improving every program he went to:

Fresno State - 4-8 to 10-3.
Washington - 4-8 (with a loss to an FCS team) to 11-2 (plus going 2-0 vs Texas in his two seasons there)

I expected this season to basically be a bust due to NIL portal deals and a difficult turnaround with a new head coach who has just coached in the playoffs.

Instead he kept most of our talent and improved some key positions through the portal. Offensive line play is vastly improved.

I haven't seen improved QB play yet but the reality is that keeping Milroe was key to keeping so many members of last year's team. It's a good decision to keep him at QB and start him in every game, even if for that reason alone. I'm hoping they've just been playing it safe so far and we see him hit some crossing patterns and check downs this weekend. I think that's the one thing we need for this team to be great.

You can add Georgia to this list soon.

Maybe. It's possible. I mean, according to 247, Alabama still has the #1 most talented roster in college football, so Alabama certainly should win this one.

1. Most talented roster
2. Playing at home

If Alabama does not beat Georgia handily it will say more about DeBoer than anything else.

That said, I think DeBoer is a good coach and will do well at Alabama. It does seem a bit odd with Alabama's fans fascination with Georgia though.

I hate to point this out as an LSU fan, but the point of the thread went over most of your heads.

Beat the Shorthorns twice in the past 2 seasons, including the Playoffs. Oregon 3 times. Have you thought about Prevagen to treat your short-term memory issues? I'm still not sure what you do for stupid though, you may be on your own.

Saban has to use his hands to talk. Coach KD can still talk if you tie his hands.

I know we all joked about the transfers, but it's not like saban didn't have that place stscked deep. Don't really know what this troll is trying to accomplish.

Offense and scheme, also doesn't hurt that they appear to have resolved their O-Line issues just in time for this game

He doesn't seem to be quite the unethical, cheating, unlikeable SOB that was Nick Saban.

Deboer is perfect for the Updykes. That is my one compliment for the day.
