Smart was 1-4 against Nick, and UGA is 1-8 the last 9 games against the tide. If Bama does win, what does this do for Smart and moving forward? Will he be another Dabo? Win a lot of games and a couple of titles but still be in the shadows if Bama.

I’d be embarrassed if we lost 9 out of ten times to Auburn much less anyone.

at the moment, two time and back to back national title winner.

Believe it not, not every single metric or accomplishment in CFB relates back to alabama.

Kirby has a great legacy, has won 2 NC (UGA has 4) in 2021 and 2022. Yes they should have won last year, but it happens. What active coach has more? (Dabo has 2)

He's 48 with two natties
He is in a position to get into Saban territory as far as natties go and will have just as many opportunities with expanded playoff

he could also go to the NFL and do something Saban couldn't, win a Super Bowl if he gets sick of the college bs

and I'd be willing to bet Saban doesn't have that natty total without Smart on his staff

-Elite coach
-Elite recruiter
-One of the biggest & most successful gambles an athletics program has ever made firing Richt to hire Kirby
-Got us over the hump
-Matched or surpassed multiple Saban streaks for one of the best peaks in CFB history
-97-16 record
-2 natties as a head coach and multiple more as a DC
-NC winning staff at 3 separate universities

Oh no, we've got a losing record to Bama during one of the best runs of any team in any sport ever. Who cares? It's fun for trash talking but it hasn't bothered the vast majority of UGA fans since the 2021 NC game.

People act like Kirby's had 3 good years, he's been stacking wins & top recruiting classes for 7 straight years.

Hopefully we won't have to worry about that. I have faith in Kirby!

Kirby's legacy (like most coaches of his level) will entirely be based on national titles won, not on his record against any particular team.

Right now he has 2.

If he gets a third, his legacy will be similar to guys like Knute Rockne, Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, Darrell Royal and Tom Osbourne.

If he gets 4, it will be similar to guys like Frank Leahy and John McCay.

5 would be Woody Hayes.

6 would be Bear Bryant.

7 would be Nick Saban.

A record against a random team doesn't matter.

If he died today, he would be one of the top 10 college football coaches in history. If you want to * because he had a hard time beating the best CFB coach of all time, then by all means Bama it up.

He will easily catch Saban in natties by the time he's 65. That's his mf legacy.

Everyone is in Bama’s shadow they just had the best 15 year run in college football history.

ESPN really did a number on the average sport’s dork psyche with their cliched story lines they purport to everyone. Enjoy the games, analyze the sport, stop being such dorks and find other storylines to dissect Jesus Christ

No Georgia and Kirby are bamas bitch. I was just wondering what UGA fans thought about it. They’ll be moaning and groaning come Sunday, and will probably blame it on the storm.
