Too quiet. Bama fans, what do you expect to happen?

You gotta be confident right? We just saw this game a little while back. We didn’t have an answer for Milroe then, don’t think we do now.

We have Milroe. No predictions from me.

Confident? Nope. Hopeful? Yep, but this is a toss up.

Kirby won’t make the mistake of using 2 spies and not blitzing around 80% of the plays this go around.

I’d feel a lot better if we hadn’t lost Caleb Downs and Trey Amos to the portal, but such is life when you lose the GOAT.

I expect Georgia to win. They have all the motivation in the world - Bama ended their bid for the three peat, Texas took their top spot and Milroe said in the offseason that Georgia quit in the title game and they saw it in their faces.

Kirby is the master motivator. He wants this game. I said it in the off season, right now it’s a “he couldn’t beat Saban” narrative. Lose Saturday and it becomes he can’t beat Bama.

Do you not know what’s going to happen? I’ll tell you what’s going to happen. Right now the men are forming up behind the line of trees. When they come out….they’ll be under enemy long range artillery fire: solid shot, percussion, every gun they have. Troops will be under fire with more than a mile to walk and still, within the open field, they’ll be under range of aimed muskets.

They’ll be slowed by that fence out there and the formation, what’s left of it, will begin to come apart. When they get to that road they’ll be under short range artillery fire - canister fire - thousands of little bits of shrapnel wiping holes in the lines. If they get to that end zone without breaking up, there won’t be many left. It’s a mathematical equation.

But maybe, just maybe, Jalen Milroe will break up their defenses. There’s always that hope. But that’s Kirby out there, and he ain’t gonna run, so it’s mathematical after all. If they get to that road, or beyond it, they’ll suffer over fifty percent casualties.

But Dawgfanman….I don’t believe my boys can reach that wall…

There's no telling. I could see the UGA from the KY game showing up or the national title game showing up.

And I could see Milroe having a field day or being sacked 20 times.

So yeah, I got nothing.

What he said. It will be a mystery to unpack as it happens.

I think Georgia exposes our young secondary this game, and our offense does it usual trick of 3nOut for two quarters.

Difference in this game is Beck

If Kirby doesn't put two spies on Milroe that's probably a different game. I doubt he makes the same mistake Saturday and if he does, he's tossing the game out of respect for Saban is all I can deduce.

I tend to agree. I think he'll be a huge factor either way.

And I honestly didn't watch the Kentucky game — what did they do to keep him off-balance?

Or was it just a match-up anomaly, guys being out, etc.?

Too many unknowns. The game is getting less predictable. You guys have some stability at least. We're breaking in a new coach, still trying to figure out how to use Milroe effectively, etc.

I could see it be a low scoring, conservative affair as both sides try to figure things out.

I told someone today this is the most “toss up” feeling game it seems. What Milroe will we get? My hope is DeBoer has some offensive schemes he’s been saving for this game.

Kirby losing this one would start to form a Bama problem narrative. Something tells me he will have UGA ready.

Gun to head? UGA by 3. Nothing will stun me though.

Honestly, we don't really know, and I'm betting your coaching staff doesn't either.

What film do we watch, Washington's offense? South Alabama's defense?

How much have they shown through the first few games? How much can they adjust to what Kirby throws at them in-game?

I lean towards DeBoer not having the pieces to do exactly what he'd like to do quite yet (fully), but I'm sure there are some things there Kirby has never seen either.

Should be an interesting chess match from a concept perspective. And we know the talent is there on both sides.

Just so much unknown this early in his tenure and this early in the season, really.

Not confident but at least hopeful which was not last year. I’ll say this even Bama radio guys like Christian Miller are saying if Bama wins it will be like a 24-20 game. No one is predicting a huge blowout. That said if the only loss this season is to Georgia that would be a hugely successful season under a first year head coach with a new offense and new defense.

Honestly I have no idea, Milroe is too unpredictable to get a feel. If Oline protects and he gets the ball out quick passing game should be ok, they need to run him at least 10-12 times imo too.

Problem is he doesn’t necessarily get the ball out quick regardless of protection, I wanna say his average pass takes like close to 4 seconds

I will say before the season, and during the USF game, I thought Bama would get blown out by 14+ on Saturday. Wisky game tempered that expectation a little bit.

Yeah, unless Milroe shows us something soon in the quick/short passing game (which he hasn't yet), against elite teams, our offense might be better off running something like the Ravens this season.

Another problem with that is the Ravens started 0–2.
