Generally that's the sign of a failure to prepare, focus and accountability.

By players and coaches.

But you see the same folks trotting right back out there. Why no Camden brown, Sean Jackson, j. Cobb? I would sit the guys down until they fix their issues

I like Sean Jackson. Don’t know why he doesn’t get more carries.

I don’t give coaches a pass on the turnovers, but also don’t put the blame on them in full.

It’s a collective goats humping a football situation of both players and coaches blowing arse

Bad fall camp preparation. I get the feeling we almost never went live in camp. It's a problem across college football.

Yeah it takes everyone involved to accomplish that level of futility

Now I hope you can see exactly what I was speaking of in the thread ‘Gus’ Spell on Us is Legit.’

We canned a very good, God fearing man and ended up with TWO COMPLETE FRAUDS!

THAT is Karma my friend and I TRULY believe in it.

I notice you did not say he was a good football coach. He was paid to be a football coach and he was doing a very poor job of it his last few years. The total collapse of our program began with the Gus extension before the 2017 SEC Championship game. The huge buyout impacted our ability to get a great coach and we will continue paying the price for that decision until at least 2027.

Gus was what he was. It was not wrong to move on from him and try to be better. Hiring two horrible coaches was the problem. And that is not the fault of anyone here.

In hindsight, knowing what happened it is very easy to say we would have been better off just keeping Gus.

I have no idea how anyone could say Gus was doing a “very poor job” after seeing what Harsin and Freeze have rolled out there week after week. The only bright spots since Gus left were Harsin coasting off his recruits for half a season.

Gus wasn’t a long term solution for Auburn but with the benefit of hindsight you’d have to be a moron not to see that firing him in the throwaway covid year with a (to be) lame duck AD, interim President, and no plan was the move that has sunk this program for the foreseeable future.

That’s not even considering that Gus’s biggest issue (OL recruiting) might have been easier to solve in the NIL transfer portal era. Hell, what if we took the $40m we’ve spent on buyouts and allocated that exclusively to lineman NIL?
