Minter's favorite games as a Tiger & Bama game talk starts @ around 5 mins

Earthquake game, Florida battles, toughest SEC matchups.

I mean everyone was pissed we had to play bama again. That was the only team that had a remote chance of beating us that year.

Minter was a beast.. I'll never forget his coming out party at Texas A&M he was a one man wrecking crew.

In all fairness alabama missing 5 field goals was extremely flukey.

I don’t know what it is about LSU and teams missing field goals but Auburn also missed 5 field goals against them in 2005 and it prevented Auburn from winning the SEC West and facing Georgia in Atlanta for the Championship game.

I actually felt bad for LSU that they had to play Bama a second time.

They had a great team and would have beaten anyone (including our 2015 and 2017 squads)

... except of course Nick Saban when he was given a second chance.

It was so brutal. My brain has effectively dissociated from 1/9/12. Can we not talk about it?

Very hard to beat the same team twice.

I wouldn’t be surprised if LSU ends up claiming it eventually. It’s exactly what Bama would do had they been in LSU’s position. They like claiming stuff when it’s not necessarily justified.

Who’s gonna stop them? This is a compliment to Bama btw.

Yeah, definitely “soft” to go to an opponent’s house in “The Game of the Century” and beat them, only to win the privilege of having to play an extra game in Atlanta to gain the honor of playing the team you already beat, AGAIN

It was retarded. Should have been Oklahoma St, but the networks wanted no part of that, even when all previous rematches in NC games ended with the previous loser winning by double digits

Doesn’t really bother me any more as my fandom for CFB has waned as the game has become more business and less school allegiances

But at least now they eliminated the possibility of such nonsense ever happening again

I just didn’t expect Miles to deploy the SAME EXACT fricking game plan that we used in TTown

fricking retard. Saban adapted and actually turned McCarron loose.

They lost to Iowa St. Think about that. Whether you like it or not Bama deserved to be in that game. Literally the only reason not to put them there would be to cool the asspain of all the butthurt LSU fans.
It also should be noted that LSU fans didn't want to play the best possible opponent in the championship game. They just wanted the easiest possible opponent. Sit there with a straight face and tell me Bama and LSU weren't the two best teams that season.

In hindsight it probably should have been Bama v Ok St. Ok St might not have won but they likely would have at least scored. And if not scored, they surely would have crossed the 50 at some point in the game.

Such a dumb cliche. Of course it is hard. You don't get to play teams like Vanderbilt twice in a season. The rematch is usually in the conference championship game or a bowl game and the winner of the first game still normally wins the rematch.

Of course they were. It was their most competitive game all year that took a slew of missed FGs and a more egregious INT call than the PP no call to sway the game. Players aren't dumb. And, that's no excuse for the Bama loss. It's just the reality of players watching the film and knowing they might have stolen one.

It honestly played out very similarly. Just the breaks here and there went a bit differently. Likely two of the most evenly matched CFB teams to have played in a single season, and we got to watch it twice. Great season for both teams. Absolutely historic defenses.

Well that's because the S stands for stupid.

LSU was given the first game anyway with a terrible call on the INT near the goal line.
