Everyone knows what's going on at Florida.

Napier knows he is done. The university has already decided to move on and is in the process of getting their people together for the search. You can't fire your coach in week 3 of year 3 and given that they have a brutal schedule it really only helps him to remain through the year unless he get BLOWN out by MSU which ain't happening. With that said
Kiffin is target no 1. Who knows but I honestly think the only way he goes is if they give him more NIL money and commit to winning.
I think more realistic targets are
Golesh- South Florida- knows the area. Offensiveinded
2) Schumann Georgia - gonna try to tap from the guy who is the best right now.
3) Chadwell at Liberty- again highly regarded offenseive mind
4) Will Stein - oc at Oregon
Liepold at Kansas has lost his last two games, probably should not have lost either.
Garret Riley at Clemson has probably lost some luster as well.
The main thing Florida wants to do right now is get ahead of the competition and get their guy instead of waiting along with everyone else because we all know it's chaos.
And the big thing to remember at Florida, as long as you score points with high paced offense, you can get away with alot.

This would be a great hire. This is who I thought the Aggies should have hired..

Why would Kiffin leave a good thing is Oxford to go to a dumpster fire in Gainesville?
Kiffin has proven that he can get the guys to compete at Ole Miss. He will have significantly less pressure as well. Florida can't get out of its own way right now.

That's why I said the only way I see him leaving is that they give him a bigger nil collective to recruit and commit to winning.
And added to what I thought were more REALISTIC targets
Geez man read the post

Golesh and Chadwell would be the only 2 realistic options from this list.
Dont see them hiring anyone without HC experience especially from the Saban/Kirby tree after 3 of the 4 failed hires have been from there.
Need an innovative, offensive mind there.
Crazy to think Huepel was just down the road before going to Knoxville.

With no insult to Napier he is a dead man walking. With another few losses he's got Norvell walking alongside him. Unless Norvell really turns things around I think there will be two big job openings in Florida... which may very well suck the life out of most coaching searches east of Pacific coast.
If you solve the riddle of recruiting Florida you can win a national title at either school. That is really tempting.

I believe Norvell's buyout is $70 milli.

Thought about that this week.
You don't want Alex Golesh to take that job if you have Florida on your schedule.
Won't be surprised in the least if Golesh is the next coach at UF. I will hate it, but no surprise.

That's why I said as long as you put points up and have a high paced offense you can get by with alot at Florida and the named highly regarded OC

I hope to hell they pass over Golesh.

I did read the thread and asked a question back....
If he is the number 1 target I dont think he leaves is all I am saying. I think going to Florida state is more realistic for him than Florida. Just my opinion though.

I really don't think he leaves unless a bigger better school that Florida comes or Florida literally opens the bank and says it's all yours. I have an affinity for Florida due to spurrier but they haven't been much of shite for over a decade. Flash in the pan season here or there and kids these days don't know shite about spurrier.

Surely, ADs are gonna quit doing long term guaranteed contracts like this.
These coaches have very short shelf life.

The problem is that you don't want to miss out on what could be an amazing hire. That brings in copious amounts of money simply from winning so they view it as investments and the ol addage goes, "it takes money to make money".

Those other names would be awful hires.

One day a major program is gonna hire Chadwell and be rewarded for it.

EVERY coach can be bought. It's just a matter of the number. Same goes for players.
Ain't about nothing but the money.
