I wasn't aware of that one. Good thing that he had enough sense to get away from that dumpster fire of a program.

Well, he went 1-9 his first season so that’s a pretty good rebound for 4 seasons.

Would you swap his titles at Bama for all of your coaches?

The man that built Bama. Not Saban.

The program was already built long before Bryant... (Wade, Thomas) ...he just revived it.

Bear Bryant, Tom Landry, Bilbo Baggins…September birthdays are like a fricking hobbit football festival and I’m going to down a pint in their honor.

I'm pretty sure UTX had a winning record agaist Coach Bryant.

I also think Coach Neyland at UT had an even better winning precentage, or record against him.

So the Longhorns have that going for them. Hope it makes you feel superior.

Here he is at his 65th birthday.

At retirement:

An estimated 250,000 people came out to pay their last respects to the greatest ever as the 300 vehicle, 3 mile long procession snaked it's way past both BDS and Legion Field on the 60 mile journey from Tuscaloosa to Elmwood.
