That’s it. That’s the thread. Been here too long and has too many weapons to not light up the board against inferior teams.

Can't disagree. Clearly Drink isn't using the entire playbook yet, but the lack of going over the top is curious.

And the few times we've tried, Cook hasn't been accurate.

We will need some stretch plays against B.C.

The season is going to rise and fall on Cook's passing success. Hopefully he gets it together.

This is who Brady Cook is. Wishing otherwise isn’t going to change it. Enjoy the ride.

Yep. Been frustrating watching the misses. Competition heats up from here on out and we haven’t seen deep connections being made.

He playing like the 6-6 Brady Cook, not the 11-2 Brady Cook.

Eh. He had a couple of very good games last year. He wasn’t the main reason we were 11-2.

The passing game looks clunky. Cook needs to get the ball on his WRs sooner and it starts with coming off his first read faster. He is too slow reading the coverage cues. By the time he gets to the secondary reads, his guys have sat in the zone long enough for the coverage to get down hill on the curls and hitches that move the chains.

Most of the passing concepts went outside in.....regardless of coverage. Cooper, Wease, Johnson, and Manning combined for 23 of the teams 34 completed passes. The slot WRs combined for 4 and Burden had 3 of those. On a night with Burden out of the game, Miller had a chance to get primary reps and had 0 receptions. Blood had 1 although he had another wiped from a penalty that would have moved the chains in the second half. Stephens and Harris combined for 2 receptions. It just seemed like the slot and TEs were underutilized seeing was Buffalo was doing with the secondary.

Good points by all. Some real tests are on the way.

Missouri quarterbacks have to walk in the shadows cast by Brad Smith, Chase Daniel, Blaine Gabbert, James Franklin, Drew Lock.

If you really think about last season, Cook was best when he really needed to be. How many times did we see the offense just grind to a halt just when it's time to put the opponent away. Then once the other team got close, Cook wakes up. With 2 sup par opponents, and small Playlist, we get the worst of Brady Cook.

BC will be much better, especially a ranked BC.

You think Drink has the balls to pull him. The backup has alot of experience.

He had maybe two decent passes tonight and a lot of misses. And even completions looked like dead ducks. And now he can’t even run well. Sadly we’re stuck with this mediocrity.
