Backdrop:

Michigan...#1 All-time in college football wins with 1,005. Defending National Champs. Riding nation's current longest win streak in FBS @ 15 games. Lost coach to NFL Top Scoring Defense in 2023 but lost 13 players to the NFL.

Texas: Tied #4 in All-time wins with 948. Finished Top Four in 2023. Taking 42 travel players from squad that went into Alabama last year for one of season's marque road wins. Sent 11 players to NFL last year. Two starting RBs injured and going against a team that gave up 9 yards rushing last week to Fresno State.

Texas currently favored by 7 points on the road.

Who ya got straight up and against that spread?

I think the spread will keep climbing as the game gets closer, but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

With that being said if Texas gets up 2 scores and forces Michigan to throw, I'd live bet Texas.

It's great to see these two titans of the sport go at it on campus and on a Saturday where college football belongs.

With that said, I have Texas coming out on top in a thriller 27 - 24. I see there is a chance of rain on Saturday too, but who knows if that will happen.

Texas is the more talented team. UM isn't the toughest place to play...lots of people there, but road teams can shut them up quick.
I would say game will be over by the 4th. Uterus by 2 TDS

Line play is going to be story of this game. Texas secondary is improved from last year and Michigan’s passing game is not up to par yet.

Texas running the ball is going to be tough, hopefully the stable of talented wide outs help take the pressure off the running game.

I have Texas by 2 scores but won’t surprise me if it’s a dog fight.

Texas will cover the spread. Michigan's secondary is not good and they won't be able to defend against a WR room as deep as what Texas has. Bond will have 3 receiving TDs+ by himself. Wingo will have a great game too. Hell, I think Ewers is gonna have a field day on that secondary if the oline can play well in the trenches.

I am not allowed to project, prognosticate, predict, or postulate where it concerns a Texas Longhorns game.

Low scoring is all I know. I trust Texas to fin some explosives more than Michigan at this point, but a few turnovers could change things quite a bit.

Matchups are a killer for Michigan. To beat Texas you need to stretch the field, and I don't think they can.

Texas 38. Michigan 16

Michigan's secondary is not good

Michigan has the best cornerback in the country and 2 solid safeties in Paige and Johnson, even with their injury and Sabb leaving for Alabama.

You obviously did not watch them play Saturday.

I expect Michigan to have some success early running the ball until we figure out how to stop it, but I believe we can throw enough bodies at them to stop it, but not as dominant as we were last year.

If betting the game, I would take Michigan on the ML as I think either team could win the game, and there is value with that pick, but if good Ewers shows up, we might cover pretty easily.

Fresno averaged 6.5 YPA, passed for under 250 yards, threw 2 interceptions and scored 10 points.

They are who they are. The line wouldn't move the way it is if people didn't see the writing on the wall. Michigan has a solid d line on defense. They'll lose 3-4 games this year.

This mentality is why there are 100000 story buildings throughout Vegas..
Sure Texas might cover, but the line has nothing to do with who Vegas thinks will win. They want money on both sides..

If $10,000,000 is bet on the game.

Vegas wants $5 mil on Texas and $5 mil on Michigan, so they have $0 risk and make money on the juice from the winner..

Vegas moves the line to try and accomplish that result.

Don't fall for that trap. Fresno state is a better team than CSU. The public is heavy on Texas right now, that's why the line is moving ( the public loves to over react). Michigan is 41-3 in the last 44 games, and won 23 straight at home. To me this feels like a trap line, everyone is on Texas.

If Texas covers, I'll be ecstatic. I just wouldn't advise taking that line.
