SEC teams that had the balls to schedule a tough non-conference game this year:
Aggie, LSU, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. That's it, that's the list. You guys get an A.

And no, Louisville, NC St, AZ St and Cal do not count as tough...but C- for effort for you guys that scheduled them.

Mizzou, Arky, OU, & Ole Miss - you should be ashamed. Your grade = F.

Vandy, you get a pass.

EDIT: Arky now with an A (After hearing for years the Big 12 sux, I am being told that a strong Big 12 team should be considered a tough opponent)

One of these is not like the other. NC State is a quality OOC game. Power 5, threat in their own conference, and in the (greater) regional footprint.

NCSU looked bad last night, but that's a solid 8-4 team.

That's pretty harsh. Mizzou does have to travel to UMASS this year.

Wake is a power 5 opponent. They were really good 2 years ago. Not our fault they suck again.

I prefer the (what should be) easy wins rather than being able to have "pride" in non-conference games.

WAOM, we need this.

Wow.... week one isn't even all the way here yet and I'm already tired of Texas fans.

I mean it’s ideal to play one OOC P4 (any) to test your team and one cupcake before conference play at the beginning of the season. The other cupcakes later in the year let you get guys healthy who get dinged up during conference play.

And these schedules are done years in advanced. Don’t try to shame anyone when your team has scheduled teams like Boise or Indiana (or wherever Durkin coached) on the schedule and “Rice” annually.

Sept 3rd, 2022 Bevo opened with Louisiana Monroe.
Sept 4th, 2021 it was Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.
Sept 5th, 2020 it was South Florida but Covid.
August 31st, 2019 it was La Tech.

I’ll stop here if you do not mind!

I laugh when horn or Sooner’s try to bring up cupcakes on the schedule and they literally play 3 a year.
