Bobby Bowden has a losing record to his 2 biggest rivals in Miami and Florida.

No great coach has this in his resume.

Imagine if Saban had a losing record to LSU and Auburn.

This is a black mark against him.

Got the opportunity to meet Bobby in 2014.

One of the nicest people you ever met FWIW.

Dude is a legend.

Not a fan of Bowden, but that isn't much of an anomaly. Spurrier has losing records to FSU and Miami.

Bo against Hayes.
Bryant against General Neyland.
Osborne against Switzer.

Kentucky is not a rival for Tennessee.

Bo is not a great coach.

Osborne is great but not elite.

Bryant and Neyland were rivals though and Bryant going winless in the series 0-5-2.

Bo had 13 Big 10 titles and is in the HOF.

Three national titles and 13 conference titles says otherwise.

I have a colleague who played for Bobby Bowden in the early 70s at WVU. After he graduated...Coach Bowden walked this guy over to the administration offices and said to them, "this young man needs to be enrolled in graduate school immediately." He told the player, "You are smart enough to do well in graduate school, and I don't want to see you go to Vietnam".

Bobby Bowden is a HOF coach when it comes to caring for his players.

A shitty poster starts a shitty thread. A tale as old as the internet.

So beating Kentucky is a big deal for Neyland.

Schembechler never won a national title. He was not even the best coach in the big 10 at the time Woody was.

Osborne is not in the same league as Bryant, Saban, Wilkerson, McKay, Rockne or Leahy. Switzer owned him.

Why it gotta be a “black” mark?

Because wanted posters are in black and white and so many FSU players ended up on them.

Schembechler stated multiple times throughout his career that his program's priority wasn't being voted #1 by a bunch of writers. His main objectives were: beating Ohio State, winning the Big Ten, and getting to the Rose Bowl.

He finished with a winning record against Ohio State, won 13 Big Ten titles, and went to the Rose Bowl 10 times.

Just cheap talk to distract from the fact he could not win a title. He also covered up sexual abuse.

Tell us what was his record in the Rose Bowl?

His teams won 13 conference titles. For coaching in a major conference, that's pretty damn good.

This is going to sound very disgusting, however it's most probably accurate - who hasn't?
