We are moving my daughter I to her dorm today. This place really seems special. Y’all have a hidden gem up here.

Congrats. My oldest is starting his second year up there and his brother is probably going to follow him up there next fall. It's a great school with way too little parking, not enough dorms and ever other problem every big school has. Other than that we've had no complaints.

Remember that the bus routes are free so she can get to anywhere she needs to without paying. If she runs into any sort of trouble... post here and someone can help out.

I love Dickson St. but it is expensive. Well by NW Arkansas standards.

If she wants to go the sorority route... I have no advice whatsoever to give. I have been told they are quite nice though.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this. She’s my oldest and therefore the first to leave the house. And we will be 9 hours or probably 4 hours with a flight from Houston.

I’m on the struggle bus with all of the feelings but it’s the best thing for her.

It means a lot. Thanks again.

No sorority for her. She chose to go a different route.

Bus routes are huge! PassioGo is the app she can use. It'll take her to Walmart, the mall, and a ton of other places in Fayetteville and that's not even mentioning everywhere on campus.

If she got a green lot pass make sure she moves her car before games.

Ditto, if she needs help let us know. I can have my son give her a ride, bring her meds, whatever might be necessary. There is an Arkansas parents page on Facebook as well. Tons of stupid people asking questions but also a bunch of people with good information.

Welcome to the hog family!

Daughter's are special and it will kill me someday when mine leaves the house. Hope she enjoys her time on the hill!

My son is the most non having game kid you'll ever meet. It's frustrating to say the least.

Mine is in his second year in RMB. If we think 11am kickoffs suck, RMB kids truly hate them. 5am practice for 11am games.

Join this group on FB. It was very informative during my kiddo's time there. Very very active group. Private and vetted.

I hope she has a wonderful time. It's a great place and she'll never ever forget her time on The Hill.

But man are there some idiot questions asked on there.

It takes everything I have not to just pop off.

$2.99 double cheeseburger and tots delivered from Wes’s.

3 for 15 from eureka.

Two burgers, two beers for 10 bucks on Tuesdays from Grubs.

That sums up my freshman and sophomore year diet outside the pomfret dining center.

What was the name of the place with the best queso, that you only ordered drunk at 2am and wouldn’t show up until 3 or 4am… it was by Mr. burger.

Is that tiny little place in the same plaza, Taco Casita, still around? From what I remember, a couple owned one or the other establishments (Casa Taco/Taco Casita) and they divorced. Then one of the people started Casita. Tiniest restaurant in Fayetteville at the time (mid-90s).
