During the BCS era, every #1 team had to face the #2 team for the championship. It was probably your sentiment being shared by the players and staff that helped contribute to the loss.

It was an unusual circumstance for sure, but there was no doubt that Alabama was the best team not named LSU going into that post season, and the best team coming out of it.

It's cause everybody saw that it was a complete fluke. Now Bama in 2021 having to play Georgia again is some bullshite after putting the spanking on them, and then losing both starting wrs and both starting corners for the second game. The 2011 bama LSU was a 3 point game with 5 missed field goals. 2021 Bama full strength stomped Georgia, it wasnt close
