False.

I see him more as a poor man's Tim Tebow.

Lamar Jackson is an entirely different type of runner and passer.

Milroe is more like Cam or Tebow.

Cam being 6-5 puts him in another class for me. I also think Milroe's delivery is a bit slow where Cam got rid of the ball pretty quickly. That's why I lean more to Tebow than Cam.

Jackson is a career choke artist up to present day.

I don’t think Tebow is a great comparison either. Tebow played at 6’3 245 he ran through you. Not that he was slow but way more effective as a design run guy. Milroe can do more with his feet on the fly and he isn’t gonna consistently punish sec linebackers like Mike alstott… I mean Tim Tebow did.

Did Lamar Jackson ever go 9-0 against the SEC? How about ACC? I didn't think so.

Jalen Milroe is Matt Jones, just with a better roster around him and modern football that is easier on running QBs who aren't elite at decision making. I think he's probably a better thrower than Jones was, too. Especially down the field. But similar running styles/traits.

Jones would have been a much better QB in modern football with a spread field than he was in early 2000 football.

Not sure if you were going for compliment or insult- but given what he did to LSU last year I would assume a compliment.

Milroe has all the physical tools and the deep ball to be the best player in the country. He's one of the 4-5 fastest players on our football team and he's built like an NFL running back and has a lot of arm strength.

He is a slow processor of the game though- or at least has been up to this point. Has a bad habit of staying in the pocket when he should run and doesn't always see the open guy.

If he progresses in that department to the degree that Michael Penix did then Alabama won't lose a game. If he progresses to about 80% of what Penix did then Alabama is a playoff lock and will be right there near the odds on favorite to win it all. He is the most dangerous player in the country.

TBF, he also didn’t have nearly the supporting cast at Louisville.

These types of statements are silly.

Jackson was an elite talent on an otherwise middle to low talent team.

Milroe is a middle to high talent on an elite talent team.

Don't get me wrong, that's not really a ding on Milroe. He's a good QB. But he's not Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton OR Tim Tebow level. We're just comparing which of those Heisman winners his game is most similar to.

there are similarities as throwers and decision makers, but it's not an apples to apples comp.

Jalen didn't hesitate to run, Milroe does. I think Milroe throws a better deep ball, and he's considerably faster than Hurts. Neither one is/was keen on turning the ball loose before a receiver made their break- but Hurts was probably even more cautious than Milroe in that regard. The difference was Hurts would tuck and run if no one was wide open and Milroe has a tendency to hang around in the pocket to wait on someone to get wide open

So what are you comparing? By the way, Jackson has had a ton of talent in the NFL and we're all still waiting for something to happen.

Jalen Hurts is much closer, for no other reason than he actually played for ALABAMA and regularly beat the stuffings out of the SEC as well.

This. I've always thought QBs get way too much credit for wins and losses. particularly wins. Especially when the phrase "defense wins championships" exists.
