Besides the game- what should Badgers expect from the Tide fans?

Still RVing up 4 days before?

Big drinkers or not?

Arrogant I expect. But down to earth or snobby?

I didn't experience the 2015 game so I wonder what the clash will be like.

Bama fans in Madison seem like a great contrast. Looking forward to it.

That's a lot of weird questions, honestly.

Most people from the south are polite anyway, especially when you're a guest in someone else's stadium. The sort of fans that will put down the kind of scratch needed for a unique away game like this will probably be good representatives of the fanbase.

A friend of mine from Illinois told me how serious and toxic hockey fans can get in that part of the country, so maybe you were expecting something similar?

Not LSU big but bigger than most B10 fans in my experience.

Bama fans are definitely arrogant, but Saban is gone and it’s a new era. I suspect it’ll be more subdued than it’s been recently.

It’s unfortunate it’s a morning kickoff, Camp Randall under the lights with everyone tailgating all day would’ve been far more fun.

I thought it would be a night game for sure. What's with the Big 10 and Big 12 putting their biggest matchups of the day at the earliest possible time slot?

You probably won't run into any of the trailer trash since it's all the way in WI.

Expect a lot of classy and friendly Alabama fans with a knowingness about them, that we are there to kick arse, win and then go home.
You won't hear much shite-talking because Alabama fans know they will win. The least insecure fanbase in the country.

I feel sorry for Wisconsin fans. They won't get to meet real Bama fans, only the low-T, milquetoast, mincing, judgmental type Bama fans who have contributed nothing to the success of Alabama over the decades.

They won't get to meet the salt of the earth, give you the the shirt off their backs, genuine, and sincere people who make up the solid and unbreakable nucleus of the Bama fanbase.

Unfortunately, it will be better-than-thou, arrogant, fake, worthless fans like you who the Wisconsin fans will be seeing.

That's sad.

Wisconsin drinks more than any place I’ve ever been. I’ve never seen so many bars across a state in my life.

You expect right. If your fans were visiting Tuscaloosa they would just turn their noses up at you. Since they will be on your turf they will be cordial if you choose to acknowledge them.

Some of the college dudes and younger men, the ones in the tiny khaki shorts, may act a little entitled and hot-headed and say someting out of line, but then some of the others will punch him on the shoulder and say "Dude! Like, that's not cool" and then it will be over.

Nothing to worry about.

Our traveling fans are generally pretty good (especially big trips like that). Not much of the riff raff that gets all the press.

A lot of folks I know are planning to go and are really excited about it. It's been one of the future road trips that a lot of Alabama people have planned to attend for a few years now, so I'm guessing it will be a fun group coming up there that is excited about the whole scene in Madison. Wish my schedule could have allowed for it.

Kinda of a bummer for me personally. My girlfriend has "bonus family" (as she calls them) in Green Lake, Wisconsin so we had a free place to stay that weekend but she found out last week that she has a work conference in San Antonio that week so she isn't going to be able to make it.

We were going to fly from Pensacola, FL to Milwaukee (via Nashville) either that Thursday night or Friday morning and were going to get picked up in Milwaukee and stay in Green Lake and then head with a couple of her cheesehead family members to campus early Saturday morning and head back to Green Lake that night so we had as perfect a setup as one could ask for with local "family" as gameday hosts.

I'm still working on making backup plans to go as a Bama home and home road game vs Wisconsin in Madison (along with any potential future home and home road games to Columbus, Ann Arbor, Happy Valley, Lincoln, and Iowa City would be) was/is on my Big Ten bucket list of places not to miss but it will be much tougher to make happen than it would have been without the last minute change of plans.

I've been to Madison and the UW campus once but in early May and only in passing. Neat campus and cool setup with the state capitol building on a peninsula near campus and not far away from Camp Randall stadium.

As for what to expect UW fans can expect from Alabama fans, you may see a few nice RVs there but the vast majority of Alabama fans will be arriving in rental cars after flying into either Chicago or Milwaukee. Expect a lot of guys in khaki shorts or slacks and Alabama golf shirts with college age and 20 something females wearing sundresses (assuming temp is in the mid 70s or higher) with older females wearing something nice as well.

The vast majority of Bama fans will be friendly and quick to mingle with UW fans if you invite them to your tailgate. I'd describe Bama visitors in these type of games as being confident as opposed to arrogant. They'll say the right thing about just hoping to get out of the game with a win but will be quietly confident in thinking it will be a one score game well into the 3rd or 4th quarter with Bama pulling away late to win by anywhere from 10 to 17 points.

I partied with a bunch of Bama fans the day before we beat them in the Sugar Bowl that night. I was giving them a lot of shite, but they took it in stride. Bought me several shots. I had a great time with them. Cool people.
