My son-in-law is from Carrollton, GA and has reliable sources at CHS. Supposedly, Auburn has been recruiting Lewis heavy and they had assumed he was coming there. However, according to my son-in-law, Lewis is demanding the booger eaters provide him personally (not his parents) a house in Auburn, a house in Carrollton, a top of the line brand new Range Rover and $150,000 cash up front.

The story is Auburn either doesn’t have the money or isn’t willing to pay that much, so it appears they’re out of the running, which makes me happy. Turd eaters.

Kind of odd though to want two houses (?!?).

They miss the days of giving Cam 200k.

Honestly though that’s a lot cheaper then say…Jaden Rashada was going to get from Florida. You have to pay a bit of a premium to sign top tier talent if you’ve shown a complete inability to develop qbs to the next level. It’s been 14 years since Cam was a rented mule and Jason Campbell was the last nfl level qb before that.

Why would you go there if you aren’t getting an absolute bag? It’s not like Freeze has ever developed anyone worth a shite either at qb

I don't blame the guy but the sport has gotten crazy. Long gone are the days of money in McDonalds bags

I would rather pay for a proven transfer QB for that type of money.

Players need to be employees so they can be held to contracts.

I read KJ Lacey has committed to them; how many houses did he get?

I’d take it and make them wish Jeremy Johnson was back. I’d throw 8 picks and then walk in the big money suite and piss on the YellaFella’s head.

Kid's stock is dropping faster than any QB in the country.

Auburn would be foolish to pay all that.

Amarillo, you will be front page news on the AU rant page, lol...they have went from the high of the Tide hired husky harsin, therefore the team and recruiting was done, to self loathing cause the Tide is recruiting at Saban levels and they are only pulling in low 4*/3* recruits...it's a another level of delusional reading on their forum??

It's wild to see that he's ranked #1 or #2 on ESPN and rivals, but mid 40s on 247 and on3.

I swear, seeing these demands would be enough for me to get the frick out of college athletics as a coach.

At this point just let them collectively bargain and sign them to contracts.

State funded schools, structure of the sport determined by judicial decision, and no competition in the space. Not much of a free market if you ask me.

Some of the schools in the ncaa are state funded but let’s not act like the athletics programs aren’t printing money outside of any funds from the state.

I don’t care either way because I’m not one of the people who does this, but most of the people who want to reign in NiL and cap what the players can make would throw an absolute hissy fit if that was suggested in any other business

Well, that’s a reductionist and rather conflict theorist viewpoint.
