Did anyone catch the introductory MCWS press conference between Tennessee and Texas A&M?

Coach Vitello was very constrained and could barely acknowledge Schlossnagle. I chalked it up to being ultra-focused or maybe bad blood dating back to TCU

but it's obvious now that he knew Schlossnagle was leaving A&M ... I think the lack of ethics by Schloss was very offputting to Vitello

Congrats to the Vols

I don’t think they actually care for one another. Schlossnagle came across as demeaning in his comments about Vitello, dismissing when Vitello had been with him not recalling the years etc.

I am sitting here giving props to Tony Vitello’s character.

This is where we are now.

He’s basically done a 180 since a couple years ago

Tony Vitello is a high character man. It never made sense why he wasn’t as close with Schossnagle as he was with Dave Van Horn. Now it makes sense…

Tony knows he’s a snake

Apparently he had accepted the Texas job back in April, when we were supposedly playing UGA. Explains why the team had issues during May … coach was already clocked out.

What a PoS. He also told some of the underclassmen right before game three of the finals. None of the seniors knew - they had to find out on Twitter. I wish this PoS nothing but failure. He will fit right in at Austin. Terrible, terrible person.

Vitello knew because Schloss was used against him when the sips came calling in April. I hope Schloss gets what is coming to him. Karma is a bitch.

Well, hold up then.
This has got to change. Like Football Vols playing a 35,000 seat stadium.
The stadium opened on February 23, 1993 and holds 5,548 people.
Baum 11,500 & it’s all up to DVH.

This is a completely garbage move by a garbage human and a garbage university.

Y'all deserve better.

Texas, go drown in a pool of dicks.

So Texas was looking for a new coach when they were ranked in the top 15? Seems legit

It’s well known in HS baseball circles. Schloss has been recruiting for Texas since May. He also told the players he wants to take with him. It will be interesting to see if they go

Oh no! Texas hired a coach that can make their baseball team better? Shame on them!

You're just a fan. You have nothing to do with these decisions, so don't take it so personally.

This did not happen over night. Big question is when did this start / come to fruition?

I didn’t take it personally, I just think the argument is silly. Hiring a coach away from a university is very normal in college athletics. CDC would have been silly not to offer him.
