I guess Wes let them win so they should feel very fortunate

Wes is delusional, and his Georgia club is such a pussy.

Anyone else notice how NC state produces some good teams across all their sports ? They never win the championship but man they do a lot better than they get credit for

So true. They seem to be that program that is just steady. They are never considered in the elite club in any sport. They just fly under the radar other than a few runs to the championship in basketball in the 70's and 80's.

Didn't Wes do all right in his first season at the helm at Georgia?

I think the Bulldogs showed improvement from the 2023 season.

As for N.C. State, best of luck to them!

Remember not too many seasons back, they were likely playing the best of anyone at the World Series until they lost too many players on their team who tested positive for the virus.

He feels like they were better off without him
He feels like they played more like a team than when he was there giving off the beer leaugue softball vibes
Thats how he feels

After they were robbed of their title shot due to that Covid BS, I will be pulling for them in Omaha. I’d love to see them get redemption.

Bullpen is deep and they have the bats to make it happen. Best of luck to the Wolfpack they will play well on a field with lots of room.

I didn’t know until now if Debbie Yow was still the AD there she retired but I agree they are very consistent across the board.

They also turn out some top picks that don’t necessarily translate to on field success, Philip Rivers, Mario Williams, Trea Turner, Carlos Rodon, Russel Wilson (mid round pick)

I am rooting for them this year after they were screwed by the NCAA’s Covid policies a couple of years ago.

Are you forgetting likely the most famous basketball championship in the history of NCAA basketball?

Check 1983 in case you’re a youngin.

ETA: and they’ve won two

Yep. They have a lot of good sports programs. They’ve produced a lot of good NFL players, and they have won a couple of NCAA tournaments in basketball.

Also, they have a very SEC-like fan base and environment at their football games and other sporting events. I wouldn’t mind them joining the SEC.

since Jimmy V's run to the tile in 1983, the Wolfpack have won:

2 ACC Basketball Championships (1987, 2024)
1 ACC Baseball Championship (1992)

that's it, they haven't even played in the football championship game. They are generally decent to very good in all sports, but rarely win anything, even on the conference level.
