re: Brad Davis brought softness

Based off what I witnessed this season, they also brought low IQ players in. Most don’t understand their assignments and Sharp fielding a kickoff that was going out of bounds, perfectly displayed that.
The difference is that the west has a lot of comforts to give up to truly fight the Muslims, while the Muslims have nothing to lose. In their minds, that’s an instant ticket to heaven to die for their faith. If it truly gets bad enough, it’ll be a fight they want no part of.
Time for Trump to squeeze this town and state until they release this man.
The fact that he is still in your house shows who the true alpha is. That dude did what he wanted, in yalls house, and yall reward him with Netflix.
That’s the best case scenario for us outside of us getting him. We won’t have to worry about playing against him in any meaningful way.

Lucas helps. I'd keep an eye on Ohio St. He's from DC so geographically it might be a better fit and tOSU is cranking out big money and great defenses every year.

Look at what Baker and Peoples have done with decent talent at DE. I am not quite sure they’ve had elite talent level at that position yet. Against non-elusive QB’s, they’ve dominated. However, he has yet to come close to stopping an elite elusive QB, or even slow one down. This needs to be addressed in the worst way. Now that he has lock down corners and Spears looks to have turn a corner, we absolutely must invest in an elite DE to be opposite of Reliford and an Elite DT to anchor the middle. Once those 2 are secured, address the star position if Ross or Singleton aren’t ready. With the LB haul from last class, surely some are ready to step up with Whit and Keys. I’m really hoping Singleton, Ross and Braker are those guys. No more lazy, up and down effort by Perkins.

This is why you don’t pay $2m to Lacy until you have Stewart, your QB and oline secured. Lacy isn’t the piece you start with, he isn’t even a top 3 piece. He is a luxury item and the value should be spent on:
Essential
1) mobile QB
2) Oline (LT and C) unless we keep Moore
3) Stewart
4) Another DE

Quality Needed
4) DT
5) Safety
6) LB
6) RB (assuming we can keep Durham and Berry)
7) WR
If nobody goes to jail then he’s as worthless as the deep state. I don’t care what he’s says, only what he does, and he hasn’t done anything to protect the future of this country. All he has done is delay the inevitable.
You’re exactly right. They’re using Covid 19 tactics here. What is insane is how they’re not even trying to hide their blatant takeover of the country. Covid 19 showed them they have nothing to fear. This will end in blood one way or another. The question is, whose blood.
Even if we take a small step back on offense, Lane should improve the offense by huge steps. Also keep in mind how long Bakers defense was on the field with meaningful snaps. He could match his production this year, with lesser talent, if Kiffin can play win TOP. Don’t underestimate how kiffins offense will help Baker. Not to mention, if we are playing with a lead, how Baker can get really aggressive to create turnovers. Kiffin and Baker could be a match made in football heaven. We just can’t waste the limited time we have with Baker.
Every parent there with a spine better be at that school the next day with their kids speaking to support ICE, not for ICE, but in support of that child. We better learn to stand and fight together, while showing our kids it’s ok to do the same.
All I know is you can never count him out because he will find a way to score points. If paired with an elite defense, he can force opposing offenses in to playing catch to take them out of their comfort zone. I think Bakers defense was mage for Kiffins offense. Imagine the turnovers baker can create by forcing an offense to play catch up.

Kiffin isn’t going to Bama. They do not like him and are still bitter towards him because of him leaving before the title game. If anything, I think Kiffin would rather stick it to them from LSU so he can twist the knife. Kiffin and Saban may be good but Kiffin and the bama boosters and Admin aren’t.

I think the only teams we have to worry about are Ohio St, Texas, Oregon and the NFL.
Most were caught off guard by the hire but what made the mixed emotions on the hire was the 10 year $100m on a 62 year old coach that had never won anything of importance. The 10 years had a lot of people wondering WTH are you thinking, including myself. Then he followed it up by firing Moffet, Raymond and some other key personnel. Why would anyone fire Raymond? I could understand moffit but Raymond? Just to replace him with a high school coach with no college experience??

Now look at Kiffin, he has maintained the successful coaches, demoted a popular RB coach because he saw his weaknesses, and upgraded every position coach. Now upgrading the offensive staff is hard but it was all done in a way to hold the key pieces of this class together in a matter of a few days. There is a clear plan and it’s not over.
They thought they’d try and pull a ND when they promoted their DC to replace Kelly. The problem is Golding isn’t Marcus Freeman. They will regret this. They should’ve gone after an offensive minded coach.
quote:

Most were extremely excited when LSU hired Kelly. It would be wise to temper your excitement.

You were this excited about hiring Kelly who had been skull drug against every SEC team he played on a big stage? I, among most, took a wait and see approach to Kelly because he had never proven he could win a big game.
Kiffin on the other hand has had elite offenses regardless of where he went or talent level. He’s won at big schools and smaller schools. He has also built ole Miss in to a program they’ve never achieved. Only 2 teams have fewer losses in the SEC than Kiffin had at Ole Miss, bama and UGA.

THIS IS THE LAST YEAR WE WILL NOT BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE PLAYOFFS IN NOV/DEC. We have a coach that wants to build a legacy, has the ability to do it and the foundational knowledge to do so. That’s the biggest difference between him and every other new hire this year, Kiffin has the knowledge and experience to win in the SEC.
It’s the first coach we have had since saban that specializes in one side of the ball. We have seen glimpses of what LSU could be with a competent offensive play caller. However, we have not seen it on a consistent level. Kiffin will bring consistency to the offensive side of the ball and if he can match it on the defensive side, we are looking at a bama type run.

The biggest difference between Kiffin, Golesh, Sumrall and the other offensive type coaches that were out there is experience. Those coaches may do well in the SEC, but from what we have learned it’s no guarantee. Kiffin is the closest guarantee there is because he has been in the SEC for 10+ years at Tenn, Bama and Ole Miss. He worked it from the top half of the league to the bottom half and built a bottom half team to the top half. He knows exactly what it takes, who to hire and where to hide the bodies. No offense to Golesh, Sumrall and others. They may be great hires but there will be a learning curve.

re: Stoops fired at KY? Apparently not

Why would Baker go to KY? Talk about wasting your one shot. He’d be better off going to Tulane first.
I’m just happy we are getting a coach that their fan base is melting he is leaving and not happy to be rid of them like Kelly and Miles…
It’s war. Ukraine lost their ground to Russia and they paid for it with blood. It’s theirs and how the world has worked throughout time. We are the only ones dumb enough to take land, give it back and use our money to rebuild it.
