Did he get better defensively from his freshman year to his sophomore year? He didn't. He was actually worse. That's the year when you should see the biggest improvement. Hopefully, Serna will make the jump this year that Arrambide didn't make.

What MLB teams do we need to watch this weekend? Who has the most money to spend?
Interesting that MLB.com has the top 200 ranked players on their website. They have Cam Johnson at 166 and L.J. Mercurius at 172!

It would be an interesting trade off. I think I would take the trade. Get all high school kids on campus, but they are draft eligible after 2 years. Keep in mind, not everyone would leave after 2 years and if they really did reduce the draft from 20 to 10 or 12 rounds, that would keep more kids in college.

Where did this news on roster size of 40-41 come from? I know Jay mentioned it in but was there a change? I thought it was going to 34.
LOL! That's not surprising based on what I saw. I probably saw about 6 of his AB's in the regionals and supers. One was a HR and the others were strikeouts! :lol:
Parham chooses to only mention the strikeouts per inning.
Does anyone know if there has been any consideration to adjusting the calendar? I think most coaches would like the draft to happen before the portal. Years ago, the draft would fall during the regionals and even the CWS if you go back to the 90's. That was not ideal. They moved the draft to July which seemed perfect. Then the portal was invented. Since the draft deadline to sign is late July, they obviously can't open the portal in August. It just seems like there is no great option. Any thoughts?

Wasn't Tyler Edwards the younger brother of Eric and played fullback for LSU?
What happened to that Texas Tech program? Tadlock had it rolling and now they've invested money in football and softball. I guess baseball isn't getting much of anything? They have completely disappeared.

I know. Me too. It's so frustrating with our team in this position. Just looking for anything positive and all we can do is wait and see what happens with the portal and the draft. Next season can't get here fast enough for me to forget this train wreck we just watched.
