The athelon anonymous coach yearly deal for the hogs apparently said: if Petrino can get Green where he needs to be the hogs MIGHT be .500 this year. So if everything goes great we might get 6 wins. Kill me.

Based purely on what we showed last year and adding in Taylen Green, 6-6 would be expected.
The other pieces of our equation that have changed since last year leave room for improvement on 6 wins.

I actually think we'll be pretty solid on offense. Travis Williams is gonna have to earn every cent of his paycheck this year, though.

If Arkansas has a really great season we might win 6 games. More realistic is a 4 win season. The good news is the hogs are not circled on any teams big game calendar.

IF the transfers get us up to having a reasonably decent OL, we have a chance to have a respectable offense.
Defense hopefully will be a little better as well.
If those come about, 6-6, with a punchers chance at 7-5.

Our defensive coaches were in their first season and we lost 5 games by a touchdown or less.
5 or 6 wins would’ve been expected this season and that was before the addition of Petrino & Mateo’s.

Part of me thinks the reason people are predicting around 4 wins this season is to protect their perception of Petrino. Low expectations gives him room to not let them down and still keep him on a pedestal.

I mean I get it, that’s the trendy thing to call our program. It’s what the cool kids are saying.
But it’s a lazy surface level take that avoids digging deeper. Of course it’s to be expected by our fans that have been burned and are finished with our football program until we show we’re willing to pay to win.

Not saying you’re wrong, I agree more than not, but it’s a lazy catch all phrase.

Most fans were done caring when Pitboss was retained after another shite show of a season.
If fans are worried about getting asshurt over football season, I'd suggest staying off message boards, radio talking head shows and fake media on the interwebs.
In the count down to "talking season" most of these clowns will have us going 7-5 or 8-4.

The expectations are low as is when people are hesitant about the OL.

in all honesty, what isn't? Baseball was fun, for a while.. but we were not good/great against upper level talent as the season progressed with superior talent recruited.
Basketball... was a huge freaking red nose, clown show this season.
Football.... Yeah, sure. But I enjoy the ultimate clown show of a triple crown evidently.
