juiced radar guns are juiced. I just subtract about 3-6 MPHs when I see the number so I have an idea of how fast they pitched compared to the 90s and early 2000s

This was at a neutral site in Hoover. This wasn’t in Knoxville where some people think the Vols lie about the numbers. He is a legit 100mph. Marcus Phillips also hit like 99mph in the SEC Tournament.
Remember Ben Joyce that was sitting at 102-104 consistently?

He threw 3 or 4 of them at 101.
Chris Cortez who has hit 100 this year at home and on the road was throwing 97-98 at Hoover, so I don't have feelings that the guns are juiced.

I could care less about Skenes. Tennessee will roll out arms every year that can throw 100mph+ going forward. LSU had 1 year with Skenes

LSU had 3 last year dumb arse. Skenes, Chase Shores, & Grant Taylor. 2 of them had Tommy John. Taylor signed and Shores will be back last year. Shores mowed down the Viles in the reg season series. Moffett is a sophomore and throwing 99. Several others are 96+.

Radar guns measured differently back then as compared to now. No conspiracy theory of lies, they are just different.
Back then, they measured the speed of the ball closer to the batter.
Now, they measure the ball closer to when the ball leaves the pitcher's hand. The ball can lose 3-6 mph in that distance depending on a lot of factors.
Just for reference, it is estimated that Nolan Ryan would have been close to 110 mph using today's radar guns.

not a myth - based more on fact than some guy just saying it's a myth.
He was clocked at 100.8 in 1974 in the 9th inning using a radar gun of the day that measured the ball ten feet in front of the plate.
It's no stretch to know the ball starts slowing as soon as the ball leaves the hand. Today the ball is measured much closer to it's max speed closer to leaving the pitcher's hand.
The ball loses a lot of speed in that distance. If you don't know that, then there is no help for you. How much? That takes a lot more time to figure out but the data is out there.
Some estimates have it at 108.5 which may or may not be exactly accurate but I think it's safe to say it's closer to that than you could ever imagine getting with your limited math skills.
