Arkansas has this regular season thing figured out...just need to get this Omaha thing figured out.
Hogs clinched their 5th West Division crown in the past 6 years. Not sure how other teams in the league stack up, but Arkansas has won at least 18 league games each of the last 7 full seasons. 4 of those seasons have been 20+ wins in the league.

Rise and shine. Last day of the regular season. I’d like to finish strong.

That’s ridiculously good. But don’t get stuck in the Mike Martin FSU zone.

Would love a national title for DVH but it’s nice to also be a consistent winner.
You look around the league at the different programs, and just winning consistently is very hard. DVH has been at Arkansas since 2003 and has missed the post season just one season. I’m not counting, but there’s no telling how many coaches combined that State, South Carolina, aTm, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Texas, etc. have been through in that same period.
DVH just wins and it’s spoiling to a fan base. It slightly worries me on the next hire and if that coach will keep the program winning. Arkansas as a program has had just two coaches since 1970. Which is crazy as well.
I’d obviously take a national title…but I like being a consistent winner each year as well and always being in the thick of it all.

A good day to win a series

Definitely some story lines today…
- Tenn and UK battling for the East and the #1 SECt seed
- Alabama trying to make the NCAAt and not fall to the 11 seed spot in SECt.
- LSU going for the sweep and possibly getting out of a day 1 game in Hoover.
- Vandy fighting for its post season life. They’re now just 6-16 vs. Q1 teams.
- Florida needs a win to make sure it has a winning record to be post season eligible

Gonna be a great day for a game. We are ready to partially bake in the 2pm sun but looking forward to all of it!
Hopefully we see a performance from our starter today that puts him as our #2 starter behind Prager, in a young but extremely talented Sdao.

SC, Vandy, FL, Bama, OM & LSU are basically playing for 2-3 regional bids.
A lot of pressure on all six teams.
The loser of LSU-OM will have to win the SECT. The winner of that game has a flicker of light but may still need to win the Tournament too.
And if SC, Vandy, FL and Bama all lose today, look out. All four of them will need to play into the weekend and/or win the SECT to make a Regional. A 13-17/12-18 conference record nullifies a strong RPI.
So a lot to play for today and next week as well.

They have been consistently good for a while now. Van Horn is a great coach but yeah, Omaha is another beast altogether. Still, I like their chances to make the CWS.
It wouldn't surprise me if AR, UT and KY all made it. I'll be pulling for MS State all the way but should we get eliminated, it's SEC solidarity.

I’m pulling for UK to make Omaha for the first time. Not a fan of all their antics and cheers, but I like to see programs complete firsts.

Only the top 4 seeds get byes and they are set. A&M has the head to head tiebreak vs State.

Great credit DVH. Arkansas has been consistently good. Winning Regionals/SR’s/CWS is really hard. As we all know, in a weekend a number of factors can dictate who wins and loses. Bianco at OM is a parallel to DVH. Consistently good for a quarter century and most likely his fifth or six best club won the CWS.
State has had half a dozen teams that were better than our 2021 team and none of them won a Natty. Two-three of them did not make it out of a Regional.
Arkansas will eventually win a NC. When you keep putting yourself in position to win, it will happen at some point.

Eh I think with a win today LSU is in. They would have a good RPI, the best or one the best overall records of the bubble teams and would be hot winning 4 of the last 5 series. Especially if any of Vanderbilt , Florida, or Bama lose as it would put us above that team in conference record and overall record or another SC lose would put us even. With a loss I think they could still get in without winning the tournament but would need 2/3 wins there. Also you say that if SC, FL, Vandy and Bama all lose they would each need to make it to the weekend of the tournament to get in the postseason, there is a 0 % chance all those get left out. The SEC is getting 8 or 9 in so at least 2 or 3 out of SC, FL, Vandy, Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss are making it.

Hess on the mound? Bama needs to roll tide

FL.
Is likely to eliminate themselves. They are 27-26. If they don't win today, they will have to win more games than they lose in the SECT which means playing to the weekend.
