Eight more years until the SECCG moves to DFW

Moving media days here was a good start. The SEC is killing itself with these long term stadium and media contracts. It could be worse(ACC).

Media Days isn’t in DFW permanently.

The SEC invited the vampire into their home. Garlic, holy water, and crucifixes will not work on the vampire when you invite him in !!

I welcome the inevitable change of venue. I’ve seen 2x B12CGs since my last SEC one. This last year’s was underwhelming but they had Nelly doing halftime.

Yeah let’s move the SECCG to nearly the farthest west outpost on the edge the conference footprint instead of keeping it within manageable driving distance of 80 percent of the schools and their fans. Because Texas, or something.
I’m not opposed to a rotation of maybe three venues but permanent Dallas is no bueno. These Texas dildo fvkers are gonna try to fvk up the greatest conference in history, aren’t they?

We will be rotating the SECCG around to the extreme corners of the conference for the sake of "inclusion":
El Paso, TX - Far West Venue
Miami, FL - Far South Venue
Kansas City, MO - Far North Venue
Charleston, SC - Far East Venue
It will be on TV...so it doesn't matter that nobody really wants to go to these places to actually watch a game.

Media days were held within a few miles of the SEC Offices in Birmingham for most of their existence. Atlanta 2 hours from Birmingham, maybe 2.5. Nashville is 3, Maybe 3.5. Dallas is 9.5 - 10. New Orleans is 6. SEC Media Days was held in Atlanta in 2017. There is a very obvious reason the SECCG is in Atlanta....its 2 hours from Birmingham and has the airport, the stadium and the hotels to handle an event that size. Nashville may host the game at some point but Nashville does not have the airport, is 3 hours from Birmingham, and certainly does not have the hotels (you can stay in a 4 star hotel in Manhattan for about the same money as a Motel 6 in Nashville).
Dallas has the airport(s) and the hotels...but is 9 hours from Birmingham. Ain't gonna happen, not anytime soon and certainly not permanently. Texas and OU fans are going to have to come to grips with the fact that SEC HQ is 54 miles from Bryant Denny Stadium. If there was an airport in Alabama and a real city with enough hotels the game would be in Alabama because everything in the SEC revolves around Tuscaloosa, not Austin, not Norman....the only reason the game is in Atlanta is because its almost as close as Tuscaloosa and can accomodate it.

Did you really expect anything less?

Haven’t they already done this?

Sorry, but when it comes to accommodations, attractions, and access (top 3 criteria they consider), Atlanta beats DFW all over the place.
It's going to remain in Atlanta for quite a looooong time.

I was told SEC wouldn’t let that happen. If you can’t stop us, you deserve whatever happens.

Less than six hour drive:
Atlanta: 10 schools
Dallas: 5 schools
Sorry, Missouri

Don’t forget that Jerry Jones is the owner of a tiny little venue and is an Arkansas alum (and he will remind you he played football there). I can see DFW becoming the new ATL…

Wrong. Also, isn’t it embarrassing that the B12 plays their CG in a far superior and more iconic venue that is also quite a bit larger?

If history serves, then yes they are going to do that.

Rotate the CG between JerryWorld, Superdome, ATL and new Nashville stadium. Make sure it isn't there the same year when a CFP championship or semifinal is scheduled for the location.

Both OU and aggy are closer to DFW than we are, and LSU, piggy and Mizzery will also have a shorter travel distance vs going to ATL. Of course we will still get 100% of the blame if it happens, and I'm ok with that. Lulz
