Agreed, that guy is amazing.

But, you know your pitchers want to strike him out so badly.

But yes I agree. As always it depends on the situation, but you really don't want to give him anything decent to hit. I would probably do the same for Montgomery.

They've already proved they cannot do that against lesser opposition at the plate. No thanks.

Who is your closer, and how are you using Montgomery on the mound?

The closer is Aschenbeck. He's one of the best pitchers on staff. However, he seems prone to strikeouts (good) or HR's (bad). Nothing in-between. Montgomery has pitched on Tuesday, once in awhile.

Cortez is the best pitcher on staff but doesn't start. He's long relief used to plug holes during the weekend. Probably because the lineup is so inconsistent.

Pretty decent. Similar to Beam in ERA (around that 3.4 spot), opposing batting average is .199.

Who you like for SEC player of the year ? I know Jac is a beast but what about Gage Miller? I guess Hagen Smith is the Pitcher of the year unless something drastic changes.

Just don’t want to get jumped like we did yesterday. Niman is usually pretty reliable as well and we saw how that 1st inning went. Should be a good game either way.

UK with the bunt single but they get greedy on the base paths.

Vols pick off the runner for the 3rd out.

It’s a two horse race between Cags & Condon right now with Montgomery on their heels IMO.

I don’t think Gage Miller is in the conversation at all

We’ve been a little bit too aggressive base running the last few games. It’s feast or famine sometimes with this group when they’re running.

Condon will get it. Montgomery has zero chance because of his team

You’re saying Condon will get it because he plays for perennial SEC baseball blue blood *checks notes* Georgia?

I’m saying Condon will get it because he deserves it. Montgomery will get token consideration at best because of who he plays for. Clear?

Why do you think A&M can’t have an SEC POY? You’ve had one since expansion.

The notion that Montgomery won’t get it because of his team is silly at best.
