Man I feel for the Auburn fans. When we played them early on, I thought they had a pretty solid squad. And they are solid, but life in the SEC is another animal.

State needed that sweep. 10-8 in conference play with Vandy, Alabama, Arky and Missouri left. 3 wins gets us in regional.
If we can get 5 wins out of the Alabama/Missouri series and 2 wins out of Vandy/Arky series we finish 17-13 in conference and maybe have a shot at hosting

Someone on our side of the country will possibly steal a host spot. Right now, the Pac 12 May not have one. Cal swept Oregon State this weekend.
While the SEC is absolutely stacked this year, it may not be impossible for 7 teams to host in our league because of how down the West Coast is.
Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, aTm, Georgia, South Carolina, Vandy, and Bama are all inside the RPI top 20 right now. State has a lot of RPI work to do though.

Because of our woeful OOC performance, we have lots of work to do. But this was a very important and needed sweep. Hopefully we can build on it going forward.

I wouldn't argue too much against this. But where does Arky fit? No matter to me just as long as A&M gets to host Regional and setup to host Super.
TN, KY, AR, and A&M would be a perfect final four in the CWS! Done. Booking my tickets as hotel already reserved!! And A&M can be ranked 4th of the group. Happy to open the door for the others...
