This is very similar to many other sites that have ranked the teams so far for the coming season.

LSU underrated every single year. Louisiana recruits underrated every single year. Justin Jefferson 3 star etc etc. LSU finishes above where they were ranked to start the year probably about 75% of the time, just a guess.

Here is another one but no Mizzou in the top 12 playoff teams. I see the reason for that is that there are 4 SEC teams being picked higher than Mizzou. Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Ole Miss. Mizzou has been shown as 5th best team in the SEC in the above article. That can change by the end of this regular season.

Another problem is Mizzou's weak schedule. Others with the same record with tougher schedules will more likely get in over Mizzou.
