That is a big one for some team.

Averaged over 5 rebounds/game.

Why would every player not put himself into the portal?
See what another team, excuse me an outside entity, will pay you to play for them. To me $100k is a fair amount of money, and many of these guys are cashing in for 5x that by switching teams. They can always come back if it doesn’t work out next year.

Doesn't hurt at all, you don't watch Bama Basketball clearly

Thats not the worst news in the world. He was a hot head and stayed in foul trouble a lot. He only really good in that late season run.

Bama had 1 guy who was done with eligibility- Estrada. Bama also has perhaps its best ever class on paper coming in next year. So a few players entering the portal was pretty much a given and Pringle was one of the most likely candidates.
He has been an inconsistent contributor at Bama but he brings a lot of energy and was showing some really good improvement last couple of months and was really important during the tournament run. He was a beast at times frankly. The biggest issue is he was not a good defender without fouling. Bama didn’t have any inside defender who could defend worth a shite without fouling. They have to improve there and they signed one HS center and are looking in the portal for a potential fit as well.
Hate to lose him but there is a pretty good chance Alabama gets better/more consistent at that position. He may not have started next year and I’m sure he wants to start his last year of college ball.

Have a 5* center coming in and have been hitting the portal for a center, so can't really blame him.

Looks like they’ll be replacing 4 of 5 starters if not 5 of 5.

Correct. But many Gumps pointed out they replaced 4 starters last year and it was a “rebuilding year”. They’ll be doing the same thing this year. A few of them still have hope Sears and Nelson are returning but both are unlikely. Nelson will go to the highest bidder if he does decide to stay in school.

Great story from the era when college football was still fun.
