But many Gumps pointed out they replaced 4 starters last year and it was a “rebuilding year”. They’ll be doing the same thing this year.
Here's to hoping for similar or improved results in a whole new "rebuilding year" RTR.

He has no outside shot. Main offense is pick and roll.

He had a great tournament defensively, but the dude can't catch a basketball. It's hot potato almost every time someone dishes to him inside, and it usually led to a turnover. Hope he works on it and lands somewhere decent.

Nick Pringle isn't what any prospective power-house team needs as their starting center. A decent reserve to rest your starter, maybe, but he's not even remotely close to a starting center for the "big boys".

Funny Bama fans are shitting on Pringle who had a great tourney, but are beating their chest over Holloway who scored in double digits once of his last 17 games.

Kid had a whopping 0 points, 1 steal, 1 rebound on an 0-5 shooting night against Yale.

Perfect role off the bench last season as that guy who comes in with energy and athletically dominates an opponent's defensive liability on the other side. Fires everybody up and gives you some quick fouls in limited minutes.

His issue IMO was the lack of maturity to transition that style into a starting role during the offseason (which probably led to some of the suspensions).

To his credit, Clemson obviously knew those weaknesses, decided to go right at him, and he stood his ground and upended their entire gameplan. We just never got that from him for most of the season, unfortunately.

Are we supposed to pretend center wasn’t our weakest position this year?

Pringle is solid but we are actively recruiting several guys in the portal and have a McDonald’s All American coming in. It’s not the massive loss that you want it to be

Mediocre seniors > most McDonald’s all Americans.

I don't think any of us are shitting on Pringle.

We've literally discussed these same issues all season.

There are only so many players who can meaningfully contribute on a basketball roster, and especially when you have success, a lot of really talented players get interested in those relatively few available spots.

Pringle had a great tournament.

Pringle was suspended twice and was the starting C in a frontcourt routinely noted as being the weakest part of our roster.

The two things aren't incompatible.

You should interview for a head coaching job and lead with that

Well, maybe not mediocre, but certainly just decent players. We have learned that the hard way the last few years. It's why we have a new coach.
