quote:That would suck. He's probably in the 2 deep right now and on track to start next year. Hopefully he doesn't, but at least its the deepest position.
There is some talk on the 247 boards about Hood possibly entering the portal.

Need WRs now. At least 2 and then finish out the 85 with best available regardless of position. I’d prefer 3 WRs.

Haven’t heard of any others but we will need bodies just to go through full reps at WR. I’m not sure the numbers exactly so this is a guess but when Simmons and Thompson come in I think we are at 9 scholarship WRs. I would assume Freeze wants 10-12 at minimum.

Hood and Tyler Scott into the portal. DB room def took a hit today as far as depth goes. We should still be ok there though, especially if we do end up getting Fegans.

going to Colorado is the rumor. They promised to offer his brother next year

Other rumor is Scott following Reed to UCF.

Explains the lights out recruiting and volume at DB still, which is good.
This is the new norm

Seems like we just got Hood.

Yep. Also a legacy
I liked Tyler Scott a little more. Both seemed to be doing OK
I think not having starting opportunities makes it hard to keep guys who might benefit from NIL deals where they’re more needed

Yep they will have a chance to start wherever they do. Those guys are good. We just happen to have guys older than them that are starting this year and apparently really nailed the HS class and those guys are pushing for playing time too. Just a consequence of a deep room. I expected a couple from the DB room, just wasn't sure who they would be.

Man, I had high hopes for Hood. Hate to see him go.

We have plenty of talent a cb but Hood wasn't far behind Scott and it's not unreasonable to think he could have pushed him back to nickel before the season was over. It's a loss and acting otherwise is a little sour grapes

Penn state WR Keandre Lambert-Smith made his final 2. Us & Texas A&M. Anybody know how we looking?

Looking like we have a 50% chance

I fricking hate the transfer portal

The only time it doesn't bother me is when we land someone from it

quote:Not sour at all. Dude hasnt done anything in his career at Auburn and hasnt stood out at any point to me. Hood is also on the smaller size and not built for the SEC. Thats my opinion based on decades of in depth arm chair Qbing from the stands. Respect it
