I appreciate Cal but I was fine with him leaving. 15 years is a long time.

The poll I saw showed 50% of UK fans wanted Cal over Pope. Seems like more than a couple.

This. It's fair to say there is some disappointment with the hire, but there is near universal agreement that it was time for Cal to go. The only thing keeping him here another year was that buyout.

Exactly. It was time for us to part ways. He did some great things on and off the court. Helped a lot of people in their time of need but his model wasn’t working

More good news today for non Arkansas fans.
Cal is bring all of his staff except John Welch to Little Rock, so absolutely nothing is going to change.
I would actually like to see Pope hire John Welch and bring him back to Lexington.

He’s already hired at Fresno State as an assistant.
I am curious who Pope will bring in. Would like to see him provide Ulis a spot (not sure when he officially graduates).
