Oats will be in Kentucky's Top 3 if he's not their number one target. Bama about to be in the fight of their lives to keep Oats.

Should have built that man an arena. Byrne kept delaying it.

Oats will probably be their guy. If he leaves bucky from Samford would be my first call.

Oats will name his price and Bama will meet it and guarantee a new arena.

Alabama just signed him to an extension. He’s probably not leaving no matter who calls right now.

Does every program literally come to Bama to look over the merchandise and window shop for every opening they have?

The number of auburn fans praying Oats goes to Kentucky is so comical and typical Auburn

Best part of this will be the bammer fans mental gymnastics:

Football: we are the premium brand and we can hire anyone in the world we want.

Basketball: Kentucky is the premium brand but our guy loves it here and has all the tools to win he needs. He would never leave.

Pearl seems like an odd fit. Hard to see that happening. Beard probably needs another year or two to distance himself from the wife beating. It’s gotta be Oats.

Surely Pearl is the first choice.

So Pearl does not carry anymore clout?

I don't know

Kentucky already has Ashley Judd, I don't think they also want a coach who cultivates murderers

I have faith Greg will do the best under circumstances. The only issue is that it's so late in the game, the obvious up and comers have been snatched up for the most part.

Not really. He was just signed to a very lucrative new deal. There will be no fight. If he want to go to UK it will be because he was offered the largest contract probably ever and he wanted to leave Bama anyway. Bama will not fight this and they shouldn't have to. To comittment to Oats has been shown and if it's not good enough so be it.

Just seems like bad timing for Kentucky to bag Oats. Id assume the buyout is now prohibitive

Funny to hear an Auburn fan yapping, because you know who else will be in that top three besides Hurley.

Detroit Pistons probably have a better chance of landing him than UK
