Matt Norlander @MattNorlander • 1m John Calipari and Arkansas have entered into serious talks about its head coaching position, sources told CBS Sports, and Kentucky has been notified on the talks. Calipari's contract terms mandate he must inform Kentucky if he engages with another school about a job interview.

Arkansas would be better taking a mid-major coach with a chance for an updward projectory IMHO...or just anything but Calipari

True..spot on age....young coaches are where it's at these days. Not a knock on Calipari. For any coach starting somewhere. The coaches right now if you look around 30s ,40s...have the energy...can relate to the players...just have it. These players are 18-21....what coaches did 10-15....just the players can't relate to that.

Arkansas is probably a 2 year build. We get maybe 3 good years.

We already saw that with Muss and his second ranked recruiting class that went 8-10 in conference play. So we already have that covered.

He did make the Sweet 16 but with that much NBA talent, they should have went to the final four.
