Don't give a damn about whatever you're inferring here.

I'm talking about his talent. Look at Cal's commitments. The caliber of our players is about to make a dramatic improvement.

Eh, I’m inclined to believe it’s more analogous to the Petrino hiring in 2007 wherein we got spurned by Grove, Tuberville and Bowden and Petrino fell to us through providential circumstances.

This pretty much sums up what I think happened as well. The Kentucky fans are just plain tired of Cal and he had to know the clock was ticking. The Arkansas job opening and our top choices turning us down put him in the catbird's seat. He can rejuvenate his career (and get paid a lot) without having to worry about being tarred and feathered.

You're crazy if you think Cal was below Beard, Wade or Jerome Tang.

You realize he's SUPER tight with the entire Tyson family? As in has multiple pictures with John and John R on his twitter?

He was the guy all along. Tyson's absolutely have a direct say when it comes to holding NIL over whatever hire they makes head.

Blue hairs and NWA were never going to get down with wife beating Bert 2.0 and Will Wade. Too much baggage to get the whole chicken mafia onboard.

I’ve said this multiple times. Feels like he stumbled arse backwards into BMFP after not getting rid of bitch tits.

Then he stumbled backwards into a backside of his give a frick in cal. Just collecting checks until sunset.

Very possible. That being said, I had my pitchfork sharpened and my torch lit over the last couple of weeks, but I'm going to give HY some credit for this hire until credible folks say otherwise.

This is where I stand.
Look back at the last coach search thread. Everyone was clowning on Hunter during and even after muss was hired .

And here we are, his last two basketball hires look like home runs

Is it more due to the Tyson's? Sure, but it isn't like Yuracheck wasn't involved at all

I think this has been a done deal for a bit. I don't think HY is so open about not getting into a bidding war for Musselman. I feel like this has been in the works for over a year to replace Muss. Would love to find out what all has transpired. Seems as if Muss showed his true colors to the big donors after the first Elite 8 and after shitting the bed with last year's team, he seemed to be checked out. Calipari is not doubt tired of the unrealistic expectations at Kentucky and is probably the one person that we could hire that our unrealistic expectations won't be shite compared to what he's used to.

Apparently Muss hated fan interaction as well and didn't like the attention and unsolicited coaching advise he received in NWA. I certainly understand, but that just comes with the territory. Calipari has the temperment and skills to work the big money to keep that NIL flowing.

BETA Page

Maybe he didn't "mishandle" Beard, but kept adding clauses until it fell apart. Beard supporters are appeased that we offered him. I think he surprisingly accepted. Some are still wary of his baggage and his drinking. I can't say that I wouldn't be. He's a great coach, but he seems to be one of those that could go off the rails at any time. Hiring him would not be without risk. Time will tell.

I know questions have come out about his motivation but I actually think Cal will be motivated as a FU to Kentucky.

Kentucky losing a lifetime contract will be worse for them than it will be for us hiring him. Kentucky basketball isn’t used to this instability they’re facing at the moment. Hell their ideal target is the Alabama head coach

Everyone throwing shite at him the past 48 hours looks pretty stupid right now.

I for one am shocked a lot of our fans have pie in their face.

Shocked I tell you

No, don’t you know sources are always right?

If they weren’t it would mean our fans got their panties in a wad over nothing. That wouldn’t be a good look.

This is my theory as well. I have a hard time believing that Cal and John Tyson haven't talked about this exact scenario playing out plenty of times if they're as tight as folks say and Cal felt as unwanted at UK over the last few years as some have suggested.

Thought from last night: How bout the BALLS on @HunterYurachek.

Now it's over, I can say: Several prominent candidates were never even *contacted* by the school - and until 12 hours ago, I had no idea why.

Now I they were all used as a smokescreen to get Calipari.

INCREDIBLE

Yurachek is a smoother operator than people think. There’s a reason he was being a dick in interviews about Musselman. He knew he was sitting on a solid hand.

While I want Pittman fired, the Petrino move was an incredibly savvy move to buy a year with the fanbase.

I mentioned Cal as a possibility Thursday or Friday.... I didn't even take myself seriously when I said it but just kinda had a feeling the stars could line up and it could possibly happen

But WOW! We actually pulled it off!
