-Georgia senior first baseman Corey Collins went 2-for-3 with two home runs and six RBI to lead a 14-hit attack.
-A&M junior OF/RHP Braden Montgomery powered the offensive attack for the Maroon & White as the junior went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a pair of homers.
- Florida sophomore Cade Kurland was 2-5, and provided the walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to cement the win.
-Alabama junior infielder Gage Miller led in hits with a 3-for-4 showing that included a double, one walk and two runs scored.
-Vandy junior RHP Bryce Cunningham allowed just three baserunners over seven scoreless innings en route to his fourth win on the season. The righty struck out a career-high 12 batters and gave up only one hit.
-Kentucky graduate RHP Trey Pooser made his second straight Friday night start and allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one in 5.2 innings.
-Arkansas junior left-hander Hagen Smith struck out 10 and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings of work.

Yeah I just copy and paste and I didn't notice it. They also did that to Tennessee twice earlier in the season before correcting it days later.
I will fix it.

That’s now 8 HR in the last 5 games for him. Insane stuff

LSU at 2-6 is shocking. They spend more on baseball NIL than anyone. They won't stay that low - just too talented.

Wasn’t sure what to expect out of the team this year but both offense and pitching have stepped up so far. We might be the dumbest team on the basepaths I’ve seen but it hasn’t cost us too terribly yet.

You apparently haven't seen the Hogs on the base paths.

When you decide to play an aggressive style of baseball, you have to kind of take the good with the bad. Just the idea of being aggressive can change the way other teams play and can lead to them making mistakes. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense, which can also make their hitters press thinking they have to score a lot of runs to keep up.
I think we are way past Kentucky sneaking up on anyone. They are (obviously) a really good team.

Mingione did a really good job in the off season utilizing the portal to fill some holes left by Seniors. Wasn’t sure how well that would work but it’s been pretty good.
Watching UGA right now, I’m pretty impressed with how we won that series and kept them from blowing it open offensively.
ETA: It’s also worth noting that the schedule for us only gets harder. We’ve had an opportunity to ease into conference play with UGA, Mizzou, and Ole Miss. Still need to see how we play against that top half of the conference.

I’d like to see Holt at 3rd today. White moved to DH since he was the hero last night. And put Helfrick at catcher today.

Starting pitchers for the MSU vs UF game today.
Starting Gator: #12 Fr RHP Peterson (7.66, 1-2, 22.1 IP)
Starting Bulldog: #50 So BHP Cijntje (3.62, 4-1, 32.1 IP)
State fans, does Jurrangelo Cijntje still pitch from both hands?

I said this in yesterday's baseball thread, but I think people are sleeping on UK this year.
That sweep of Georgia is looking more and more impressive.

Somehow Bama has a chance to sweep USC in baseball. Not sure what to do with that information.
