Kentucky vs East Carolina
Boston College vs Vanderbilt
LSU vs Georgia Tech
South Carolina vs Iowa
Georgia vs Michigan State
Ole Miss vs Texas Tech
Alabama vs Utah
Florida vs Oklahoma
Yeah, I did pick an SEC sweep -- but it doesn't seem all that impossible. Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama should win their bowl games handily, I think.
Boston College and Vanderbilt seems pretty one-sided, but let's be honest -- when you have two of the best teams in the country at forcing turnovers, there is no favorite, it's whoever turns the ball over less. I think Vanderbilt will be the team that forces more turnovers. Plus, Vanderbilt is playing in their first bowl game in 26 years. Every single player on that team wasn't even alive when Vanderbilt last went to a bowl game. They're playin' for pride as well.
Texas Tech looks to be a force of nature, but Oklahoma stopped them pretty well by being more physical at the line of scrimmage. Well, Ole Miss probably has the best offensive and defensive lines in the SEC, with only Alabama being a serious contender to be superior (and I could see Ole Miss being considered second in that regard behind Alabama). Ole Miss will use Oklahoma's game plan on defense, and on offense, Houston Nutt will find ways to work the Tech defense. Presumably, the offensive line will pave the way for a strong running game from Ole Miss, and with the clock in its favor the Rebels may end up with an upset.
I saved LSU and Florida for last because they're such tossups. If LSU gets a new defensive coordinator in -- and it appears they will before the bowl game -- and that man whips the defense into shape, the Tigers have a very strong shot at the upset. If not, or if the team doesn't come together, then it'll be a long day for LSU fans.
Florida is a tossup as well, but not because of coaching staff changes -- I really don't know where to go with this. I doubt we see a repeat of 2003, where Oklahoma was last heralded as the greatest offense in history AND was led by a pocket passer Heisman winner at quarterback; Florida's defense this year isn't as unstoppable as LSU's was that year. But I really don't know where to go with it. I hope Florida wins and that may have impacted my choice, but I just have a feeling Florida wins it because they have the ball longer with their spread option offense.

man that should be an ugly game
Could be, but if Chris Crane, BC's #1 QB is back, it will most likely be a solid BC win. BC's D is for real. Their O w/o Crane is gimpy at best.

Why is everyone picking East Carolina over Kentucky? Their only decent win since September was a narrow one against Tulsa.
Not just specifically you, Buckeye, but everyone as a whole.

True, but who has Kentucky beaten? ECU still beat the ACC Champ and a decent team in WVU.

4-4. Winners: UF, Bama, Ole Miss, UGA. Losers: USC, LSU, Vandy, UK. FWIW, Demarco Murray is scheduled to miss the NC; he's the Sooners second-leading rusher.

Ole Miss could win and are better than they get credit for but their biggest weakness (Secondary) plays right into TT's strength.

Handily?? doubtful in my mind. I think Kentucky and South Carolina lose in games not that close...also I think Georgia wins but the game will go into the 4th qtr.

I actually have a pretty bad feeling about the SEC's success this post-season. Wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the worst bowl record's all decade.

not very good, because the SEC sucked this yr,
and thats the reason why Bama went undefeated, just like Auburnt in 04, down yrs for the SEC.
P.S. for the bammers, the bowl results this yr will prove my point.
